iGUIDE Integration with Xactimate

This article provides a comprehensive guide on how to create an iGUIDE Instant Sketch, and how to view the iGUIDE within Xactimate.

Creating an Xactimate Instant Sketch with iGUIDE 

Convert an iGUIDE floor plan into an Xactimate-compatible sketch:

Step 1: Capture Property with an iGUIDE camera. 

Step 2: In the Portal, select Create iGUIDE → Choose Insurance & Restoration. 

Step 3: Pick a sketch package: 

Standard/Premium Sketch:

  • Step 1: Check the Xactimate ESX paid add-on checkbox when creating your iGUIDE.
  • Step 2: Upon checking this box, you will be notified that the charge for your requested ESX file will only be processed once the file has been generated and is ready for download. Click Enable to continue.
  • Step 3: Once you have enabled the ESX feature, another notification will appear, asking if you would like to request the ESX file to be prepared within 24 hours or if you prefer to have it ready at a later time. Click “Request ESX” or “Not Yet,” depending on your desired outcome. If you have clicked “Request ESX,” you can skip step 5 on this list.
  • Step 4: Once your iGUIDE is published on the portal, navigate to it and then click on the Xactimate ESX tool.
  • Step 5: Click on the “Request New ESX File button to order your ESX file.

Instant Sketch:

  • Step 1: Select Insurance & Restoration as the property industry, and then Instant Sketch from the package dropdown menu.
  • Step 2: Add data to all remaining required fields.
  • Step 3: Select the project file.
  • Step 4: Click the Create iGUIDE button.
  • Step 5: When the creation process is complete, copy the authentication token from the ESX page, notification email, or the iGUIDE property report.

In Xactimate:

Step 1: Create a Project.

Step 2: Click the Request Data button and select “Interior Walls”.

Step 3: Select “iGUIDE” in the Provider dropdown box.

Step 4: Fill in the boxes and paste the token in the “Notes/Instructions” section.

Step 5: Wait until a notification occurs.

Step 6: Open the project and import the newly obtained data.

Important Notes: 

  • ESX files available for Standard and Premium only.
  • Instant Sketch is standalone (max 5,000 ft² and 75 scans).

  • You can re-upload to edit or improve the sketch. 

     

Xactimate Virtual Tour Integration 

Upon creation, any iGUIDE Standard Sketch, Premium Sketch or Instant Sketch will have the virtual walkthrough URL embedded within it. Loading the ESX file into Xactimate will create a separate window within Xactimate containing the virtual walkthrough alongside the sketch.

Step 1: Open the Xactimate Software and Log-in.

Step 2: Open the Sketch for the property.

Step 3: Once the Project is Open, click on the "Integrations" tab on the screen to the left of the floorplan to open up the iGUIDE Tour.

Note: Disable Protected Mode to allow viewing in Xactimate.
