iGUIDE Integration with Xactimate

Overview

Integrating iGUIDE with Xactimate allows insurance and restoration professionals to convert iGUIDE floor plans into Xactimate-compatible sketches and view the immersive 3D tour directly inside the Xactimate software. By combining accurate sketch data with a virtual walkthrough, claims and estimating workflows become faster, more accurate, and easier to verify.

This guide walks through creating an Xactimate Instant Sketch using iGUIDE, ordering ESX files for Standard and Premium iGUIDEs, and accessing the embedded virtual tour within Xactimate for a side-by-side review of the property.

Creating an Xactimate Instant Sketch With iGUIDE 

ESX files are available as a paid add-on for Standard and Premium iGUIDEs.

To request an ESX file:

  1. Check the Xactimate ESX paid add-on checkbox when creating your iGUIDE
  2. Review the notification confirming that the ESX charge will only be processed once the file has been generated and is ready for download, then click Enable to continue
  3. When prompted, click "Request ESX" to have the file prepared within 24 hours, or "Not Yet" if you prefer to order it later
  4. Once your iGUIDE is published on the Portal, open it and click the Xactimate ESX tool
  5. Click "Request New ESX File" to order your ESX file (skip this step if you already selected "Request ESX" earlier)

Creating an Instant Sketch

The Instant Sketch package is a streamlined option for fast turnaround.

To create an Instant Sketch:

  1. Select Insurance and Restoration as the property industry, then choose Instant Sketch from the package dropdown menu
  2. Add data to all remaining required fields
  3. Select the project file
  4. Click the Create iGUIDE button
  5. Once the creation process is complete, copy the authentication token from the ESX page, notification email, or iGUIDE property report

Importing the Sketch Into Xactimate

After receiving your iGUIDE data, import it directly into Xactimate.

To import the sketch:

  1. Create a Project in Xactimate
  2. Click the Request Data button and select "Interior Walls"
  3. Select "iGUIDE" in the Provider dropdown box
  4. Fill in the required fields and paste the authentication token into the "Notes/Instructions" section
  5. Wait for a notification confirming the data is ready
  6. Open the project and import the newly obtained data

Using Xactimate Virtual Tour Integration

Every iGUIDE Standard Sketch, Premium Sketch, and Instant Sketch comes with the virtual walkthrough URL embedded within the sketch. Loading the ESX file into Xactimate creates a separate window containing the 3D tour alongside the sketch for easy reference.

To view the virtual tour in Xactimate:

  1. Open the Xactimate software and log in
  2. Open the sketch for the property
  3. Once the project is open, click the "Integrations" tab to the left of the floor plan to launch the iGUIDE tour

Note: Protected Mode must be disabled on the iGUIDE to allow viewing within Xactimate.

Important Notes

Keep the following in mind when using the integration:

  1. ESX files are available for Standard and Premium iGUIDEs only
  2. Instant Sketch is a standalone product, with a maximum of 5,000 sq ft and 75 scans
  3. You can re-upload data to edit or improve the sketch as needed
