How to Connect to the R1

Step 1: Open the iGUIDE PLANIX App on your smart device 

Step 2: Press the "+ New Device" button on the top right of the screen in the "Devices" section 

Step 3: Power on the R1 camera 

• On the app you will be prompted to turn on the R1 Camera.
• Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
• It may take 20 seconds for the camera unit to start up.
• Once the QR code appears on the camera's screen the unit is ready to connect, and you can press "next" on the app. 

Step 4: Hold up the smart device to the QR code and scan the code 

Step 5: You will see a prompt appear stating Searching for Device. This shouldn't take long, and you will then be prompted to Connect to device - select Connect. 

Step 6:Once successfully connected, the QR code on the R1 camera screen will disappear, and the app will display a Connected” message. You are now connected to your R1 camera.

• Once the QR code appears on the camera's screen the unit is ready to connect and can press "next" on the app. 

Step 4: Press "Manual Connection" and open up your smart device's Wi-Fi settings 

Step 5: Look for your camera's Wi-Fi in available networks and attempt to connect to it  

• The Wi-Fi name will look something like "PLANIX-0E5A5570.osc". 

Step 6: Enter in the password for the camera's Wi-Fi 

• The password for the Wi-Fi is on the bottom label of your device. 

Step 7: Once connected to the Wi-Fi return back to the PLANIX App and you will automatically connect to your camera. 

Step 8: When you see the "Connected!" window, you are officially connected to your camera and ready to start your scans!
