Overview
Finished R1 projects can be uploaded to the iGUIDE Portal in two ways: directly from your smart device through the PLANIX app, or from a computer using Stitch. The smart device method is faster for everyday uploads, while the Stitch method gives you more control and works well when reviewing data on a larger screen.
This guide walks through both upload paths step by step, plus troubleshooting tips for missing stitch data and timeout errors.
Before You Begin
- Confirm all scans for the project have been completed
- Make sure you're in an area with a strong Wi-Fi signal if uploading from a smart device
- Have a computer available if uploading via Stitch
Smart Device Upload Method
- Turn off the camera and connect your smart device to a stable Wi-Fi or data network
- Export the project: Close Survey, open Projects, tap the three dots beside your project, and select Publish to Portal
- Sign in to the iGUIDE Portal, then choose to create a New iGUIDE or add to an existing one.
- Enter property details — address, property industry and package. For a standard tour, select Real Estate Transaction and iGUIDE Standard
- Press Create iGUIDE and keep the app open until the upload finishes; the project will move to the Uploaded folder when complete
Computer/Stitch Upload Method
- Turn off the camera once all scans are complete
- Transfer the project from your smart device to your computer using the R1 Transfer guide
- Download Stitch from the iGUIDE Downloads page (PC or Mac) and install it
- Open the project by launching Stitch and clicking the house icon in the top-left corner
- Export the project by pressing the export icon (blue ball); when stitching finishes, click Create iGUIDE
- Log in to the Portal in the browser window that opens, while keeping the file window with the exported Stitch TAR ready
- Create iGUIDE in the Portal — click +Create iGUIDE and enter the property industry, package and address
- Upload the project by dragging and dropping the TAR file into the grey Upload Stitch Data box, then click Create iGUIDE. Once the upload reaches 100%, the data has been sent to our drafting team, and they will begin to draft the project
Troubleshooting
Issue: "Missing stitch data" on a new iGUIDE
Solution: Either the upload didn't fully complete (try again) or the iGUIDE is still processing. Wait about 10 minutes after the app shows the upload finished, and contact Support if the issue persists
Issue: "Project Reassign Request Timed Out" error
Solution: Caused by an unstable internet connection or a device still connected to the camera. Power off the camera, confirm your device is on a strong Wi-Fi or cellular connection, force close the PLANIX app, and try uploading again
