Overview
This section will explain how to upload a finished project to the iGUIDE portal. There are 2 different methods to upload a project: Smart Device Upload or Computer/Stitch Upload.
Before You Begin
- Make sure all scans have been completed for the project.
- Make sure you are in a location with a strong Wi-Fi signal if you are uploading via a smart device.
- Make sure to have a computer available if you are uploading via Stitch.
Steps
Smart Device Upload Method
Step 1: Export the Project:
- In order to upload the scans you took to the iGUIDE portal you will need to start by exporting the project.
- Close Survey and go to the projects section at the bottom of the page. Tap on the 3 dots to the right of the project you wish to export and press "Publish to Portal". This will export the project file before asking you to log in to the iGUIDE Portal. Exit the portal and return to your "Projects" section.
Step 2: Turn off the camera and connect to a stable Wi-Fi/Data
- After exporting the project you will want to turn off your camera to make sure your smart device can connect to a Wi-Fi or use your smart device's data in order to upload to the portal.
Step 3: Select "Publish to Portal"
- Once connected to a stable Wi-Fi or your smart device's data go to the projects section of the PLANIX app and press on the 3 dots to the right of the project's name. A menu will pop up from the bottom and you will select "Publish to Portal". This will lead you to another screen asking you to login to the iGUIDE Portal.
Step 4: Sign In to the iGUIDE portal
- When prompted you will be asked to sign into the iGUIDE portal. Once you have entered in your credentials you will be asked to make a new iGUIDE or add to an existing iGUIDE. To create a new iGUIDE select "New".
Step 5: Enter in your property details
- The next section will ask you to add in your address for the iGUIDE, the property industry, and the iGUIDE package. For a basic iGUIDE experience which includes a detailed floor plan and a 3D tour we recommend choosing "Real Estate Transaction" as the property industry, and selecting "iGUIDE Standard" as your iGUIDE package.
Step 6: Create iGUIDE
- The final step is to press the button at the bottom of the page called "Create iGUIDE". Once pressed you will be sent back to the Projects tab on the app and see the project being uploaded. Make sure not to let your smart device turn off, or switch to another app until the upload is complete. Once it has been fully uploaded the project will move to the "Uploaded" folder.
Computer/Stitch Upload Method
Step 1:Turn off the camera once all scans have been created.
Step 2: Transfer your project data from your smart device to your computer

Step 3: Download Stitch
- On your computer go to your browser and go to iGUIDE Downloads to download either the PC or Mac version of Stitch. Once Stitch has been downloaded on your computer you can install the software.
Step 4: Locate your Project
- Open up Stitch and then open up a project by selecting the house icon on the top left corner of the screen.
Step 5: Export Your Project
- Once the project is opened on Stitch press the export project icon (the blue ball). Once the project is stitched together a window will pop up where you can press "Create iGUIDE".
Step 6: Log Into the Portal
- After pressing "Create iGUIDE" two windows will pop up: The first will be a browser window that will ask you to log into the the iGUIDE portal, and the second will be a file window for the exported stitch TAR file for your project.
Step 7: Create iGUIDE
- Once logged into the iGUIDE portal click on "+Create iGUIDE" and enter in the iGUIDE's property industry, package, and address.
Step 8: Upload Your Project
- In the Upload Stitch Data section drag and drop the exported TAR file to the grey box, and then press the blue "Create iGUIDE" button at the bottom of the screen. Once the upload is at 100% your iGUIDE will be processed and published and you will receive an email about its completion.
Troubleshooting
Issue: Why does my newly uploaded iGUIDE show "missing stitch data"?
Solution: This can happen for multiple reasons but typically the most common two reasons is either there was an issue with the upload and it didn't go through and will need to be reuploaded again, or the iGUIDE is still being processed and will need a few minutes to receive the stitch data. The best practice is to send the data in, and wait 10 minutes after it has gone through on the app to see if the iGUIDE has stitch data or not. If it does not go through please try and upload it again, or contact the Support Team and they will be able to help you.
Issue: Project Reassign Request Timed Out Error When Uploading
Solution: This issue is likely caused by an unstable internet connection or because your device is still connected to the camera. Please ensure the camera is powered off and that your device is connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network or has a strong cellular data signal. After confirming these, force close the PLANIX app and try uploading again.
