Overview
An Offline iGUIDE is a downloadable version of your 3D tour that preserves the exact state of the iGUIDE at the moment it is saved, allowing you to view it without an internet connection. It mirrors the full online experience, including measurements, VR capabilities, and interactive features, making it ideal for presentations, on-site reviews, or environments with limited WiFi access.
This guide explains what an Offline iGUIDE is, how to use it across different devices, and the steps required to download, unzip, and open the tour locally on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

Understanding the Offline iGUIDE
The Offline iGUIDE works like a time capsule, preserving the precise state of the 3D tour at the time of download. Any permissions, views, or hidden elements remain locked to the settings configured at that moment. If you later add or remove tags, panoramas, or update view permissions, those changes will not appear in the existing offline version.
Key things to know:
- The Offline iGUIDE mirrors the online experience, including measurements, VR, and other interactive elements
- Updates made online are only visible if the iGUIDE is re-downloaded
- Recipients needing access to updated content must download the latest version
Using an Offline iGUIDE
Offline iGUIDEs are viewed in a web browser by downloading and unzipping the file, then opening the index.html file inside the folder. While this is straightforward on a computer, it can be more challenging on mobile devices due to limited local file handling. For tablet presentations, the most reliable method is to preload the Offline iGUIDE while connected to WiFi.
Before you begin: ensure your iGUIDE is published on the iGUIDE Portal.
