Overview
The room thumbnails shown on realestate.com.au (REA) come from the pano and angle chosen for each room in your iGUIDE tour. By default, iGUIDE selects these automatically. You can override them in the Highlights section of the iGUIDE Portal, choosing exactly which pano and angle represents each room and previewing the result before you save.
Once saved, your selections sync to REA automatically, usually within a couple of hours. You don’t need to resubmit the tour.

Setting room thumbnails in Highlights
Each room (Kitchen, Living, Bedroom, Bathroom) is listed with its current auto-selected pano. To change one:
- Check the room thumbnail on the REA listing to see which room you want to change.
- Log in to the iGUIDE Portal and select the iGUIDE you want to edit.
- Open the Highlights section.
- Select the room you want to change.
- Browse the available panos and pick the one you want as the thumbnail.
- Adjust the angle until the view you want appears in the preview.
- Check the preview, then save.
- Repeat for each room you want to set.
Any room you don’t configure keeps its automatically selected pano. You can switch a room back to that default at any time.
Best Practices
- Pick the pano and angle that show the most recognizable or appealing feature of each room.
- Keep framing consistent across rooms so the listing looks polished.
- Check the REA listing a couple of hours after saving to confirm the change synced.
Important Notes
- You don’t need to resubmit the tour. Thumbnails update on their own once you save.
- Selection is per property. Each listing has to be configured individually — there’s no way to apply one setting across all your listings.
- Anyone with Editor access to the iGUIDE can set the thumbnails.
- REA refreshes listing content on its own schedule. Changes usually appear within a couple of hours, but if a saved change hasn’t shown up after 24 hours, contact support.
- If a new angle doesn’t appear after refreshing your iGUIDE, clear your browser cache.
