How to Connect to the PLANIX Pro Camera

Overview

Connecting your smart device to the PLANIX Pro camera is the first step before capturing any iGUIDE project. The connection is made through the PLANIX app and your device's Wi-Fi settings, allowing you to control the camera, manage scans, and prepare data for upload.

This setup ensures stable communication between your camera and smart device, giving operators a reliable workflow from the moment the system powers on through to the final scan, helping every iGUIDE project start smoothly.

Before You Begin

1. Fully charge your PLANIX Pro camera before shooting
2. Download and install the PLANIX app on your smart device
3. Locate the Wi-Fi password printed on the bottom label of your camera. 

Steps to Connect

1. Open the iGUIDE PLANIX app on your smart device
2. In the Devices section, tap + New Device in the top-right corner
3. Power on the PLANIX Pro camera and wait until no lights are flashing on the base
4. Tap Manual Connection in the app
5. Open your smart device's Wi-Fi settings
6. Locate the camera's Wi-Fi network (e.g., PLANIX-0E5A5570.osc) and select it
7. Enter the Wi-Fi password from the bottom label of your camera
8. Return to the PLANIX app and tap + New Device again
9. When prompted, select Add Camera to complete the connection
