Overview
Uploading a finished PLANIX Pro project to the iGUIDE portal can be done in two ways: directly from your smart device using the PLANIX app, or from a computer using Stitch. Each method delivers your scans, panoramas, and LiDAR data into the iGUIDE production pipeline for processing.
This flexibility lets operators choose the workflow that best fits their environment, whether uploading on the go after a shoot or processing locally on a desktop, ensuring every project is published quickly and reliably to the portal.
Before You Begin
- Confirm all scans for the project have been completed
- Ensure a strong Wi-Fi or cellular signal if uploading via smart device
- Have a computer ready if uploading via Stitch.
Method 1: Smart Device Upload
- Disconnect the Camera: Turn off the camera and connect your smart device to a stable Wi-Fi network or cellular data
- Export the Project: In Survey, click the "Hamburger" menu in the top right hand corner, and click the zipper icon beside the project name. Exit survey
- Publish to Portal: In Projects, tap the three dots beside the project and select Publish to Portal
- Sign In: Log in to the iGUIDE Portal when prompted, then choose New to create a new iGUIDE
- Enter Property Details: Provide the address, property industry (e.g., Real Estate Transaction), and iGUIDE package (e.g., iGUIDE Standard)
- Create iGUIDE: Tap Create iGUIDE at the bottom of the page. Keep the app open and the screen on until the upload completes and the project moves to the Uploaded folder.
Method 2: Computer / Stitch Upload
- Power Off the Camera once all scans are complete
- Transfer Project Data: Copy your project files from the USB drive to your computer's desktop
- Download Stitch: Visit iGUIDE Downloads and install the PC or Mac version
- Open the Project: Launch Stitch, click the house icon in the top-left, and open your project
- Export the Project: Click the blue ball export icon. When stitching completes, click Create iGUIDE
- Log In to the Portal: A browser window and a file picker will open — log in to the iGUIDE Portal
- Create iGUIDE: Click + Create iGUIDE and enter the property industry, package, and address
- Upload Your Project: Drag and drop the exported TAR file into the grey box, then click the blue Create iGUIDE button. Wait until the upload reaches 100% — you'll receive an email when processing is complete.
Troubleshooting
Issue: "Missing Stitch Data" after upload?
Solution: Wait 10 minutes for processing to complete. If it still appears, re-upload the project or contact iGUIDE Support
Issue: Project Reassign Request Timed Out Error When Uploading
Solution: Power off the camera, connect your device to a reliable Wi-Fi or cellular signal, force close the PLANIX app, then retry the upload
