iGUIDE Reporting Enhancements
We have improved the iGUIDE Report emails to better serve our customers in Insurance and Restoration, Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Facility Management. These new industry-specific reports are automatically provided based on the industry selected when creating an iGUIDE. They aim to simplify the experience and ensure quick access to key tools and files specific to those industries. Please click here for more information on industry-specific reporting.
New Additions & Improvements:
- Streamlined Layout: Removed unnecessary content such as social sharing links and MLS measurement summaries.
- iGUIDE Tag URL Link: If tags are present, a direct link is now included, which, when selected, opens the iGUIDE with the tag list open.
- Floor plan PDF Link: Now more prominently featured for ease of access.
Doors and Windows Summary CSV (Beta) & Enhanced Room Data CSV
- Windows & Doors Summary: This AI-generated summary is now available in open beta on iGUIDE Standards and above, offering a detailed breakdown of openings by type and location. The file is now linked directly in the report email or can be found in the ‘Details’ section of each iGUIDE.
- Enhanced Room Data: Previously existing Room CSV files are now enhanced to include perimeter, wall surface area and volume for deeper insights.

3D Tour Navigation Improvements
Based on your feedback, we’ve introduced a refined navigation system for an iGUIDE 3D Tour to improve the overall user experience when moving through spaces.
What’s Changed:
- Reduced Accidental Wall Transitions: Users will no longer unintentionally move through walls or solid surfaces. Navigation now requires more precise cursor placement, making staying oriented within the space easier.
- Smaller Clickable Zones: Previously, pano points behind walls could be triggered with a wide cursor range, leading to unintended jumps. Now, users must hover directly over a pano point to activate it, reducing accidental clicks.
- Visual Feedback for Blocked Paths: When attempting to click on a pano point that’s not yet accessible (e.g., behind a wall), users will see a subtle animation indicating that movement isn’t possible until they move closer or adjust their view.
- Distance-Based Rendering Limits: We’ve introduced a rendering limit of approximately 8 m (25 ft) to prevent distant pano points from appearing unexpectedly. This ensures pano points only appear when they’re contextually relevant, especially in larger properties.
These changes strike a balance between realism and usability. Users can still navigate freely, but with greater control and fewer surprises, making the experience more intuitive and immersive.
Updated Terms of Service
We’re updating our Terms of Service and introducing a new Data Processing Agreement (DPA). These changes have been outlined below.
Data Processing Agreement: To support global privacy compliance, we’ve added a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to our Terms of Service. This outlines Planitar’s role as a data processor and reinforces our commitment to data protection best practices.
Billing and Payment Section: In preparation for upcoming enhancements to our billing system, we’ve introduced a new Billing and Payment section in our Terms of Service. It describes billing procedures, collection processes and payment terms in more detail.
Coming Soon!

Updates to our Advanced Drafting Services - Now More Flexible!
We’re updating iGUIDE’s Advanced Drafting Services to offer greater flexibility and project-specific control.
What’s changing?
We’ve deconstructed the 2D and 3D CAD bundles and now offer each unique deliverable as an Add-on to an iGUIDE Premium.
Advanced Drawing Package: Need plotted drawings? Select the Advanced Drawing Package, which pairs our premium 3D Tours with a drafted floor plan (DWG), a detailed plotted drawing package (PDF) and lidar point cloud data of all floors (DXF). This package maintains flexibility, and individual Add-ons can be added at an additional cost!

Verisk Xactimate Virtual Walkthrough Integration
The iGUIDE Virtual Walkthrough is now accessible directly within Verisk’s Xactimate.

You can save time and increase efficiency by gaining instant access to the virtual walkthrough directly within Xactimate removing the need to switch between browser tabs and Xactimate.
The virtual walkthrough is a valuable resource for remote visual inspection and measurement to improve claims accuracy and efficiency.
It allows you to:
• Verify the true extent of the damage
• Verify wall, ceiling and floor materials
• Use on-screen measurements to define any details in 3D space
• Access tags showing essential details such as moisture readings or thermal imaging
• Eliminate repeat visits
• Speed up dispute resolution
How do I access the iGUIDE Virtual Walkthrough from within Xactimate?
- Open the Xactimate Software and log-in
- Open the Sketch for the property
- Once the Project is Open, click on the "Integrations" tab on the screen to the left of the floor plan to open the iGUIDE Tour

SLAM Now Available on the PLANIX Pro!
PLANIX R1 users will already be familiar with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). This feature has now been released for the PLANIX Pro!
The new SLAM feature helps users understand the camera's position in relation to previous scans, giving a sense of how well future scans will match up. This is achieved by tracking the camera’s position in real-time using 2D depth measurements (captured by a time-of-flight lidar sensor), which builds a simplified map of the area. This data helps the system calculate how well a new scan will align with what has already been scanned.
Real-Time Camera Positioning: The SLAM system uses live depth data from the camera’s 2D lidar sensor along with previously captured scans to locate the camera on a floor plan. Tracking begins once at least one scan has been completed, and the camera’s position will only display on the screen if the “show live lidar data” option is enabled in the app.
