Capturing with PLANIX

Real-Time Floor Plan Preview (July 2026)
Your floor plan now draws itself on screen as you scan. Walls, rooms, and openings appear over the usual lidar view, colour-coded by confidence: white walls are confirmed, amber walls could use another scan, and black areas haven’t been captured yet. It runs on your device, so there’s no upload or waiting. The preview is a capture guide, not your final floor plan, and you can turn it off at any time.

  • Available on PLANIX R1.
  • To get it, update the PLANIX app, sign in, and download the one-time feature pack (about 100 MB).

Enhanced Tags (June 2026)
Tagging is faster and tags are easier to read at a glance.

  • See your tags in 2D on captured data and the floor plan preview while you scan, with per-floor views and a show/hide-all toggle.
  • Long-press on data or imagery to drop a tag exactly where it belongs.
  • Choose from a new icon library (Utilities, Safety & Conditions, Media, Spaces) and pick a colour. Icons show consistently in the viewer, the Tag List PDF, and SVG exports.
  • The default tag icon has changed from a price tag to a circle with a dot, including on existing iGUIDEs. Older tags stay fully editable.
  • Using Stitch? Update to the latest version to keep your icon choices.

PLANIX app reliability fixes
Recent app updates fixed missing tag images (v1.14.7), Real-Time Floor Plan Preview on Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra (v1.14.11), and projects getting stuck in “Validating” (v1.14.17). Keep your app up to date to get these fixes.

Viewing your iGUIDE

Dimensions (August 31, 2026)
Turn on Dimensions from the tour menu (Menu > Tools > Dimensions) and room measurements appear right on the 360° photo, on the walls they describe: room size, wall lengths, and ceiling height. Viewers can answer “how big is this room?” without leaving the tour.

  • Available on iGUIDE Standard and Premium tours captured with a PLANIX R1 or PLANIX Pro. Not available on Instant, Express, or Radix.
  • Off by default, so nothing changes on a tour until a viewer turns it on.
  • Tours drafted before August 31 show walls and rooms. Tours drafted from August 31 onward also show doors and windows.
  • Dimensions are a helpful estimate. For custom measurements, use the Measure tool.

A refreshed viewer on mobile and desktop (May – July 2026)
The iGUIDE viewer has a cleaner layout, updated navigation, easier map use on mobile, and better touch controls. In July we made the pano dots smaller on mobile and improved how the viewer sizes itself on tablets and zoomed-in browsers, so the floor plan stays clear.

Keyboard navigation (July 2026)
You can now move through a tour using your keyboard instead of a mouse. It’s handy, and it makes tours more accessible.

Snapshot Mode (June 2026)
Capture still photos from any 360° pano in your tour and add them to your iGUIDE gallery from the portal, even after you’ve left the property. Great for documentation photos.

Deliverables

Faster Site Plan delivery (June 2026)
When you add a Site Plan to your order, your iGUIDE no longer waits for it. Your iGUIDE is delivered first, and the Site Plan follows separately, so a larger or more complex lot won’t hold up the rest of your deliverables.

Updated Site Plan standards (August 31, 2026)
Site Plans ordered from August 31 follow a new production standard:

  • Lakes, beaches, and shorelines are now drafted.
  • Patios, porches, and decks appear on both the Floor Plan and the Site Plan.
  • Premium: outdoor furniture on attached decks, patios, and porches (like a BBQ or patio set) now shows on the Floor Plan.
  • Detail scales with lot size. Smaller lots are captured on site in more detail, while larger properties rely more on satellite imagery.
  • Landscaping, fencing, trails, and docks are included where they can be captured or identified. Roof lines aren’t included.
  • Lot lines are schematic and aren’t a legal or survey boundary.

More detail in Xactimate ESX files (May 2026)
ESX files now include bathroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, showers, tubs), kitchen appliances, laundry fixtures, and exterior areas like patios, porches, balconies, and pool areas. Exterior areas are included when they were scanned on site.

ESX Direct for Instant Sketch (July 15, 2026)
Instant Sketch customers can now download their ESX file straight from the portal. There’s no more token or “Request Data” step in Xactimate.

Offline download for Instant Sketch (August 2026)
Instant Sketch customers can now add an offline download: a self-contained copy of the iGUIDE tour you can keep locally for long-term records. It’s available as a $19.99 USD add-on. The download includes the tour and floor plan images, along with any tags added before download. You can download it as many times as you need for four months from the date your iGUIDE was created. It doesn’t include the floor plan PDFs, the Tag Report PDF, or CSV exports.

Bulk download your tag images (September 1, 2026)
Download all the images you’ve added to tags in one .zip file, with clearly named files ready to drop into claims or project software.

Easier-to-edit SVG floor plans
SVG floor plan exports are now better organized, so they’re easier to open and edit in design software.

Stitch 6.15.1 (July 2026)

  • Create, edit, and remove tags right from the scan tree, with an icon picker that matches Enhanced Tags.
  • Tags now show in the editor and the pano stripe.
  • Tags saved in an invalid position are recovered automatically when you open the project.
  • Fixed crashes when importing scans with missing position data and when loading projects that contain tags.
  • Large scans from newer cameras (20 m+ lidar radius) load up to 12× faster.
  • Floor rotation and position adjustments carry over when you import floors.
  • If you open a project saved in a newer version of Stitch, you’ll now be asked how to proceed instead of losing tag data.

Your account and the iGUIDE Portal

Multi-factor authentication (May 2026; required since July 6, 2026)
Protect your iGUIDE account with multi-factor authentication (MFA) using an authenticator app. Since July 6, 2026, MFA is required for everyone who signs in to the iGUIDE Portal with an email and password. Accounts using single sign-on (SSO) on PC aren’t affected.

Sub-accounts (August 2026)
Operators can now invite team members as Sub-accounts. Each team member gets their own login and their own MFA, so there’s no need to share one sign-in. Set default editors so your team can see the projects they work on.

A refreshed Analytics email (July 2026)
Your iGUIDE Analytics email has a cleaner, easier-to-read design.

Portal improvements

  • Package labels in your iGUIDE list make it easy to see each order’s package at a glance.
  • Email notifications for Instant orders.
  • Updated default images for users and buildings.

Improved iGUIDE APIs (March 2026)
Root account operators can now create their own OAuth or API tokens in the iGUIDE Portal (Settings > API Management), and more API endpoints are available. The API documentation has been fully refreshed so developers can find what they need faster.

The new iGUIDE Operator Network (ION)

ION 2.0 (September 8, 2026)
ION is now more than a directory. It’s a platform that connects customers with iGUIDE Pros.

 iGUIDE Site Plans for Residential Properties  

Site Plans are now available as an add-on for eligible residential iGUIDE listings. They provide a schematic view of the entire property—showing buildings, outdoor features and overall layout—directly in the iGUIDE Viewer.

 

Key details:

  • Delivered as a dedicated “floor” in the Viewer, included in PDF reports and available as JPG and SVG downloads.  
  • Requires exterior scans captured during the property shoot, which allows the user to navigate the space but is also used by our drafting team to complete the plan.  
  • Designed for residential properties with individual ground level access and dedicated land. Not intended for high-rise apartment buildings or condo units.

Branded Property Overviews

Branded Property Overviews are now available on all iGUIDE Standards and Premiums at no extra cost. They generate a polished, branded PDF that includes the agent logo, colours and contact details—taken automatically from the configured Branding Template, previously called Agent Banners

Key details:  

  • Combines floor plans and the Site Plan (when available) into one branded PDF.  
  • Only produced when a Branding Template [CA7] is applied to the iGUIDE.  
  • Not available with iGUIDE Radix or iGUIDE Instant.  

We’ve also updated the iGUIDE Branding Templates to give users more flexibility and control over how their branding appears in both the 3D Virtual Tour and PDF Floor Plan outputs. Users can now upload a headshot, a 3D Virtual Tour logo image and a separate PDF logo image. The color selection screen also allows you to select from preset color schemes or create custom room colors using hex codes.  

This update provides agents with consistent, professional collateral without additional cost additional steps to your workflow.

New support center hosted by Zendesk  

We’ve transitioned our iGUIDE product support system to Zendesk, a more comprehensive solution that brings together advanced AI capabilities with improved ease of use, speed and scalability. This upgrade supports our commitment to delivering fast, seamless and personalized service to our customers.  

What changed:  

  • Intelligent chat assistant available on the iGUIDE Help Center and within the PLANIX mobile app.
  • Redesigned iGUIDE Help Center with refined content and improved search capabilities.
  • Easier ticket submission and tracking.

Improvements you might have missed  

Tag report PDF
The Tag PDF Report provides a downloadable summary of all tags within an iGUIDE, including both visual and text-based details. This feature is designed for accurate documentation and easy sharing.  

Report includes:  

  • Floor plans with tag locations clearly marked  
  • Clickable links to view tags in the 3D Virtual Tour  [AG9] 
  • Detailed tag information includes:
    • Location
    • Tag name and colour
    • Tag content (notes, descriptions, media)  

Tags can include product specs, safety notes, inspection details, or embedded media. The report consolidates this information into one document for streamlined communication and record-keeping.

Easier to download CAD deliverables 
CAD deliverables can now be downloaded directly from the details page of each iGUIDE in the Portal, or directly from the delivery email, giving you two convenient ways to access DWGs and other drafted outputs without extra steps. This update streamlines access to project files, improves workflow efficiency, and ensures all available CAD deliverables are stored alongside the rest of your project assets.

Additional measurement diagram on all Floor Plan PDFs for the AEC industry
All iGUIDEs ordered under the AEC industry now include an additional floor plan measurement diagram designed specifically for AEC workflows. This enhancement provides clearer dimensional references and supports industry-standard measurement practices such as ANSI Z765.

DXF deliverable includes all captured floors
The DXF file included in the iGUIDE deliverables now contains all captured floors, regardless of whether those floors include drafted elements or not. This DXF represents the source LiDAR based point cloud for the full property.

Offline project editing in the PLANIX App
This new feature allows users to make simple edits to their projects without needing a connected camera.  

Key capabilities include:  

  • Align, edit, or delete scans
  • Create, edit, or delete tags
  • Add, edit, or delete floors 
  • Edit project names

Camera generated sounds – PLANIX R1
This update introduces an option in the PLANIX App settings to enable sound notifications from the PLANIX R1, providing audible feedback during operation for improved user experience (similar to the PLANIX Pro experience).  

HDPhotoHub Integration Improvement 
The iGUIDE integration provided by HDPhotoHub helps you save time by automatically creating draft iGUIDE orders based on your client's photography order. You can choose which products automatically trigger an iGUIDE order through the product configuration settings (Business > Shopping Cart). 

Once the iGUIDE order is processed, the assets are automatically added to Site Media, eliminating manual steps, reducing typos and streamlining your workflow. You can also enhance your assets by adding agent branding through HDPhotoHub, including logo assets and other branding elements that carry through to the final iGUIDE deliverables.

Updated Global Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; Introduction of Terms of Use

As part of our new partnership with REA Group, we’ve made localized updates to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to reflect regional requirements and improve clarity. We are also introducing a new Terms of Use for the iGUIDE Viewer to better outline platform expectations and user responsibilities.

These updates are already in effect for new customers. For existing customers, they will take effect on April 18, 2026, and will replace the current versions.
