Overview
Virtual staging is a digital form of home staging in which interior designs are created using a graphic editor and applied to property images. It is a popular tool among real estate brokers, photographers, and interior designers, allowing empty or outdated spaces to be transformed into visually appealing, market-ready interiors without physical furniture.
This guide explains how to use virtual staging with your iGUIDE, including how to share panoramic images with a staging company, how to give a virtual stager direct access to your iGUIDE, and important timing considerations for replacing panos.

Understanding Virtual Staging
Any iGUIDE can be virtually staged by downloading a panoramic image from the iGUIDE Portal. Once you receive the staged image back, it can be uploaded to replace the original pano in the tour.
Important things to know:
- Once a pano is replaced, the original is no longer available for download
- Keep copies of the original panorama or project folder to retain access to the unedited versions
Sharing Panos With a Virtual Staging Company
There are two methods for sharing panoramic images with a staging company. Choose whichever best suits your workflow.
Method 1 - Replace panos directly through the Edit screen:
- Create an iGUIDE as you normally would
- Once drafting is complete, find your iGUIDE in the "My iGUIDEs" section of the iGUIDE Portal
- Click the blue Edit button
- Click the Replace Pano Images button
- Download the pano image
- Send the image to a company for virtual staging
- Upload the new or edited image to the iGUIDE Portal
- Repeat steps 4 to 7 for every panorama you wish to replace
Method 2 - Use the iGUIDE Report to download panos:
- Create an iGUIDE as you normally would
- Once drafting is complete, find your iGUIDE in the "My iGUIDEs" section of the iGUIDE Portal at manage.youriguide.com
- Click the white iGUIDE Report button
- Click the Download link next to Photo Spheres
- Select the image(s) you would like virtually staged from the downloaded set
- Send the selected image(s) to the virtual staging company
- When you receive the staged files back, return to your iGUIDE on the Portal
- Click the blue Edit button
- Click the Replace Pano Images button
- Select the pano you wish to replace on the preview iGUIDE
- Upload the new or edited image to the iGUIDE Portal
- Repeat steps 10 and 11 for every panorama you wish to replace
Giving a Virtual Stager Direct iGUIDE Access
You can grant a virtual stager direct access to your iGUIDE by creating a sub-account for them on the iGUIDE Portal and assigning them as an Editor. This allows them to download panoramas, edit them, and re-upload the staged versions without needing to send files back and forth.
Method 3 - Add a virtual stager as an Editor:
- Create an iGUIDE as you normally would
- On the Operator Dashboard, create a sub-account for the virtual stager, or share login details for an existing account
- Assign the virtual stager as an Editor on the iGUIDE by adding their account to the Editors field in the iGUIDE People section
- Have the virtual stager follow Method 1 or Method 2 to update the panos, starting at step 2
