Overview
This section will go over the steps on how to create a project within the PLANIX App.
Before You Begin
- Make sure you are connected to your camera on the PLANIX App.
- Prepare the location you will be shooting to be photo ready.
Steps
Step 1: Once you are connected to the camera on the PLANIX App, press on the camera icon in the "Device" section. This will open up Survey.
Step 2: Press on the symbol that has the 3 horizontal lines at the top left of the screen (sometimes called the hamburger) and this will bring down the survey menu.
Step 3: Select "Project" from the menu.
Step 4: Once on the "Project" screen you can create a new project by filling in the project name at the top, filling in the exterior wall thickness if available, and then press "Create".
Step 5: Next you will need to fill out the details of the first floor. This includes the floor name, and if the floor is below grade. Once those are filled you can press the "Create" button.
Step 6: Once you finished with the floor information you are now ready to begin shooting your project.
Troubleshooting
Issue: What if I don’t know the exterior wall thickness?
Solution: You can always enter in the exterior wall thickness at a later time, even after the iGUIDE has been created and published on the portal.
Issue: Can I name a project the same name as a previous project?
Solution: You can but it is not advised as this may create complications when uploading to the portal.
