Updating Your iGUIDE Across Build and Renovation Phases

Overview

Updating your iGUIDE throughout a build or renovation lets you document every stage of a project accurately. From the pre-build scan through mid-project progress to the final post-build update, iGUIDE supports a workflow that captures changes as they happen.

This guide explains how to upload pre-build scans, request mid-project updates and submit post-build changes using either the Standard/Premium or Radix workflow.

Standard or Premium Package Workflow

Follow these steps to order a Standard or Premium package for your build or renovation project.

Initial capture and upload:

1. Scan the property as normal, following the Scanning Best Practices guide
2. Label each floor with the date of capture to indicate a pre-build or pre-reno scan, for example "First Floor – February 25"
3. Upload the completed scans to the portal for processing

Requesting a mid-project or post-build update:

1. In the PLANIX App, start a new project and note whether the scans are for mid-project updates or post-build updates
2. Capture scans as normal, labelling each floor with the date of capture, for example "First Floor – March 3"
3. After capturing all updated scans, submit a request to update your initial iGUIDE
4. In your request, specify whether you'd like to keep the original floors and panos so the full building progression is documented
5. Once published, you'll be able to view each floor according to its stage in the project timeline

Radix Package Workflow 

Follow these steps to order a Radix package for your build or renovation project.

Initial capture and upload:

1. Scan the property as normal, following the Scanning Best Practices guide
2. Label each floor with the date of capture to indicate a pre-build or pre-reno scan, for example "First Floor – February 25"
3. Upload the completed scans to the portal for processing

Requesting a mid-project or post-build update:

1. In the Planix App, create a new floor within your existing project, indicating the floor and the date captured, for example "First Floor – March 3"
2. After capturing all updated scans, transfer your data from your mobile device to a computer
3. Open your project in Stitch and re-export it to include the new scans and data
4. Go to manage.youriguide.com and open the iGUIDE you want to update
5. Click Edit and locate Stitch Data on the left-hand side
6. Upload your new Stitch.tar file — the newly added scans will be added to the existing iGUIDE

Important Notes to Remember Before Updating

Keep these points in mind before submitting an update request:

1. Radix updates overwrite all previous data — make sure you include ALL scans, both initial and updated, in your upload
2. For Standard or Premium updates, your request must specify that you want earlier scans retained so the different build phases remain visible
3. All updates will be charged according to the published pricing structure
