Overview
Publishing an iGUIDE turns your completed property scans into a finished virtual tour ready for marketing. The workflow involves exporting the project from your camera, connecting your smart device to a strong network, and sending the data to the iGUIDE Portal for processing.
Once published, the tour is available to share with clients and viewers. This guide walks you through every step on a smart device, from preparing your camera to creating the final iGUIDE.
Before You Begin
- Finish capturing all scans of the property
- Make sure you are in an area with strong Wi-Fi or mobile data coverage
Steps

Export the Project from your camera:
- PLANIX R1: Close Survey, open Projects, tap the three dots beside your project, and select "Publish to Portal."
- Planix Pro: In Survey, tap the three-line menu, choose "Project," then tap the page-with-zipper icon beside the project to export. Exit Survey and open Projects
-
Turn off the camera and connect to a stable Wi-Fi/Data.
- After exporting the project you will want to turn off your camera to make sure your smart device can connect to a Wi-Fi or use your smart device's data in order to upload to the portal.
-
Select "Publish to Portal"
- Once connected to a stable Wi-Fi or your smart device's data go to the projects section of the PLANIX app and press on the 3 dots to the right of the project's name. A menu will pop up from the bottom and you will select "Publish to Portal". This will lead you to another screen asking you to login to the iGUIDE Portal
-

- If you're in Australia and having trouble logging in, check that your app is pointed at the AU portal.
- On the main "Devices" page, Go to "Settings" at the bottom right of the screen
- Under "Portal URL" you will find a list of the different types of iGUIDE portals you can select. Select manage.iguide.au
- Once you have it switched it will remain switched until you change it again
-
Enter in your property details
- The next section will ask you to add in your address for the iGUIDE, the property industry, and the iGUIDE package
-
Create iGUIDE
- The final step is to press the button at the bottom of the page called "Create iGUIDE". Once pressed you will be sent back to the Projects tab on the app and see the project being uploaded. Make sure not to let your smart device turn off, or switch to another app until the upload is complete. Once it has been fully uploaded the project will move to the "Uploaded" folder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q?: Why do I need to turn off the camera after the project has been exported?
A: It's advised to turn off the camera after the project has been exported because it is important to make sure to have a strong Wi-Fi/Data connection when uploading to the portal. When the camera is on it may try to connect to your smart device which could interfere with the upload and cause errors.
Q?: Why does my newly uploaded iGUIDE show "missing stitch data"?
A: This can happen for multiple reasons but typically the most common two reasons is either there was an issue with the upload and it didn't go through and will need to be reuploaded again, or the iGUIDE is still being processed and will need a few minutes to receive the stitch data. The best practice is to send the data in, and wait 10 minutes after it has gone through on the app to see if the iGUIDE has stitch data or not. If it does not go through please try and upload it again, or contact the Support Team and they will be able to help you.
