Overview
The iGUIDE Blurring Tool helps you protect privacy by concealing sensitive information within your 3D tour before sharing it with clients or publishing it online. It allows you to manually mask specific areas of a pano, while the optional Automatic Face Blurring feature uses AI to detect and blur faces during the iGUIDE creation process.
This functionality gives you precise control over what viewers can see, helping you deliver polished, professional tours that respect the privacy of occupants and protect confidential details within the space.

What is the Blurring Tool?
The Blurring Tool creates a blurring effect on your iGUIDE's 3D tour to conceal sensitive information, adding privacy and a professional finish to your content.
Where do I Find the Blurring Tool?
Follow these steps to locate the tool within your portal:
- Log into the iGUIDE portal
- Click the name of the iGUIDE you wish to edit in the My iGUIDEs section
- On the left-hand side, click the "Blurring Tool" section of your iGUIDE
Using the Blurring Tool
This section outlines the main controls available in the Blurring Tool and walks through how to create a blurred area within a pano.
- Floor and pano selector
- Total Blurs and Pending Changes (in this session)
- Blur area resize, hover, and grab to move it around the pano
- Delete selected blur
- Delete ALL Blurs in the selected pano (you will be prompted to confirm; reversible until Apply Changes is selected)
- Get Started guide
- Hide all blurs (only hides the blurred areas on the blur tool)
- Apply Changes - commits all edits to the iGUIDE
- Clear Changes - cancels all changes made in the active session
To create a blurred section of the pano:
- Place your cursor in the top-left corner of the target area, click, and drag over the intended subject
- Select and drag the corners to cover the subject, or click the center to reposition it
- Select Apply Changes and confirm when prompted
- Wait briefly for the confirmation message: "Your changes have been successfully applied"
What is Automatic Face Blurring?
Automatic Face Blurring can be enabled during the Create iGUIDE process. This AI-powered feature detects faces in pano images and automatically blurs them to help protect privacy.
Important notes:
- Automatic Face Blurring does not apply to still photographs of faces
- Because this feature is AI-based, it may not detect every face
- Any missed areas can be blurred manually using the Blur Tool
