Overview
You can ask for changes to a published iGUIDE from the iGUIDE Portal, on a phone, tablet or computer. Use manage.youriguide.com, or manage.iguide.au if you have an Australian account. There are two kinds of request. Pick the one that matches what you need:
| You want to… | Request type | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Add or change content | Update | Add a room or floor you scanned later, show a renovated space. |
| Fix a mistake in the delivered iGUIDE | Error correction | Missing door or window on the floor plan |
Some changes, like room labels, you can make yourself in the iGUIDE Edit view. No request is needed for those.
Updates are charged based on the type and scope of the change. Error corrections are free once the error is verified. See What happens next for pricing.
If your update includes new scans, you first prepare the scan data (Step 1), then submit the request in the Portal (Step 2). If there are no new scans, go straight to Step 2.

Before you begin
- The iGUIDE must already be published. You can't request changes to an iGUIDE that is still processing.
- Capture new scans in a separate project. In the PLANIX app, create a new project for the extra scans. This is the fastest way to get your update processed.
- Already added the new scans to the original project? No need to rescan. Just export that original project again in Step 1 so the new data is included.
- Using Stitch on a computer? Get the scan data onto your computer and export the project from Stitch before you start. Step 1 explains how for R1 and PLANIX Pro.
Step 1: Prepare your new scan data
Skip this step if you aren't adding new scans. The goal is to end up with a stitch.tar file you can upload in Step 2. Follow the steps for your camera.
R1 camera
On your smart device
- Open the PLANIX app and create a new project for the new scans.
- Capture the new shots, then tap (x) in the top-right corner of the survey view to return to the project list.
- Tap the three vertical dots beside the project and select PUBLISH NEW IGUIDE. This starts the export.
- When you reach the screen Assign Project to iGUIDE: NEW | EXISTING, close the app completely. The export file has already been created, and closing here does not create a new iGUIDE or order.
- Turn the camera off and connect your device to the internet (Wi-Fi or cellular data).
- Your file is stitch.tar, in the project's _Export folder inside the main PLANIX folder on your device.
Using Stitch on a computer
- Transfer the project from your smart device to your computer. See How to Transfer Stitch Data to a Computer (R1).
- Open the project in Stitch and export it. Your file is the exported stitch.tar.
PLANIX Pro camera
Using Stitch on a computer (most common)
- Safely eject the USB stick from the camera and plug it into your computer.
- Open the project in Stitch and export it. Your file is the exported stitch.tar.
On your smart device
- Open the PLANIX app and create a new project for the new scans.
- Capture the new shots, then tap the menu (≡) in the top-left corner and press Export.
- When the export finishes, press Download and choose where to save the file. It transfers from the camera to your device over Wi-Fi.
- Turn the camera off and connect your device to the internet (Wi-Fi or cellular data).
- Your file is stitch.tar, in the location you chose in step 3.
Step 2: Submit an update in the iGUIDE Portal
These steps are the same on a phone, tablet or computer.
Go to manage.youriguide.com (Australia: manage.iguide.au) and log in.
- Find the iGUIDE you want to update and click iGUIDE Details.
- Select Request an Update from the Quick Access toolbar on the left. On a phone, tablet or small browser window, tap the double arrow (>>) first to show the toolbar.
- Choose I want to request an update.
- Answer Are you uploading new Stitch Data for the update?
- Yes: pick the change types that apply and add a short description for each. In the Stitch data box, describe what the new scans contain (for example, "Basement, 6 new scans"). Then tap the grey box labelled Drag and Drop exported Stitch TAR or click here to select and choose your stitch.tar file from Step 1.
- No: pick the options that apply under What other kind of update would you like to request? and add a short description.
- Press Request Update. If you're uploading a file, keep the page open until the upload finishes.
You can also reach Request an Update by clicking Edit instead of iGUIDE Details.
Submit an error correction
Use this when something in the delivered iGUIDE is wrong. No new scans are needed.
Go to manage.youriguide.com (Australia: manage.iguide.au) and log in.
- Find the iGUIDE and click iGUIDE Details.
- Select Request an Update from the Quick Access toolbar on the left. On a phone, tablet or small browser window, tap the double arrow (>>) first to show the toolbar.
- Choose I want to report an error.
- Pick each error type and add a short description for each. Be specific, for example "Bedroom 2 is labelled as Office".
- Select the floor or building where the error is.
- Press Report Error.
What happens next
Our team reviews your request and updates the iGUIDE. For typical turnaround, see iGUIDE Delivery Time Estimates.
You'll get a confirmation email once the change is complete. If the drafting team needs more information, iGUIDE Support will email you.
Cost: updates are charged based on the type and scope of the change. Error corrections are free once the drafting team verifies the error. See the pricing for your billing currency:
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| I can't find the stitch.tar file | R1: open your device's Files app and look in PLANIX › [project name] › _Export. PLANIX Pro: check the location you picked when you pressed Download. |
| The upload stalls or fails | Make sure your smart device is connected to the internet, not the camera's Wi-Fi. Keep the page open and the screen on until the upload completes. |
| I don't see Request an Update | Check that the iGUIDE is published, and that you clicked >> to expand the left menu. |
| I submitted the wrong file or details | Open a ticket with the iGUIDE address and what needs to change. |
