Understanding Floorplanner

Floorplanner is a web-based design platform that helps users plan, visualise, and present interior spaces with ease.

Before you Export to Floorplanner

Make sure the following requirements are in place before starting:

  1. You have an active Floorplanner account
  2. Your iGUIDE is published and accessible
  3. The iGUIDE is not locked or expired, as this will prevent a successful exportt. 

Exporting an iGUIDE to Floorplanner

The Floorplanner Export feature transfers iGUIDE floor plans to Floorplanner.com for advanced editing and visualisation.

To export your iGUIDE to Floorplanner:

  1. Click the Floorplanner button located in the left-hand menu of your iGUIDE interface to open the Export Tool
  2. Use the drop-down list to choose the building you wish to export, then click the blue Export button
  3. Verify the property address to ensure you are exporting the correct iGUIDE, and confirm the export when prompted
  4. Log in to Floorplanner using your credentials when redirected, or sign up if you do not yet have an account
  5. Once authenticated, the selected iGUIDE View will be exported, and a green confirmation message will appear when the process is complete
  6. Click the "here" link in the message to view your finished Floorplanner project

Note: You may see error messages within the green confirmation box. These typically indicate data elements that Floorplanner could not translate due to technical limitations. They are known issues and generally do not affect the core functionality of the exported project.
