Overview
Default settings let you preconfigure how every new iGUIDE is created so you don't have to repeat the same selections each time. By saving your preferred Industry, Package, Add-ons, Report Recipients, Editors and Viewer preferences once, you streamline future tour setups and keep your output consistent.
This guide walks through accessing the iGUIDE Operator Portal and adjusting each section of the default configuration so newly created iGUIDEs match your standard preferences.
Before You Begin
- Confirm you have access to your iGUIDE Operator Portal account
- Note that changes apply only to newly created iGUIDEs, not existing ones
- A banner applied during creation overrides default settings — add banners after creation to keep your defaults
- Global settings apply first, user settings override globals, and banner settings override both
Steps
Log in to Your iGUIDE Portal
Open Settings by clicking your name in the top-right corner and selecting Settings from the dropdown.
Access iGUIDE Defaults from the Settings menu
Edit Industry, Package & Add-ons — scroll to that section and choose your preferred Industry, Package and any Add-ons.
Update Report Settings — scroll to the iGUIDE Report section and edit default recipients or add additional email addresses.
Assign default Editors — scroll to the iGUIDE Editors section and add primary contacts.
Editors must already have a Portal account, and only existing users can be assigned the Editor role.
Customize Analytics preferences — scroll to the iGUIDE Analytics section and pick the default recipients for analytics data.
Modify Viewer settings — scroll to the iGUIDE Viewer section and adjust how your iGUIDEs appear by default.
Save — scroll to the bottom and click Save to apply all changes.
Troubleshooting
Issue: Changes to the iGUIDE details not appearing?
Solution: Ensure that you're editing iGUIDE Defaults, not individual iGUIDEs. Defaults only apply to newly created iGUIDEs.
Issue: Banner settings not saving as expected?
Solution: A banner applied during creation overrides saved defaults. Apply banners after the iGUIDE is created to preserve your default.
