Overview
Exterior Elevations are architectural drawings that show the exterior façade of a building. They provide a flat representation of each side of the structure, giving architects, designers and contractors valuable insight into the building's external appearance and design.
This article covers what Exterior Elevations are, what is included with the deliverable, where the add-on is available and important notes about capture requirements and delivery.

What Exterior Elevations Are
Exterior Elevations are drafted architectural drawings that depict the front, rear and side views of a building's façade. They are commonly used as a reference for renovation, design and construction work. For a full breakdown of file contents, see the Exterior Elevations Deliverables document.

Important Notes
Keep these points in mind when ordering Exterior Elevations:
- Exterior Elevations are typically ready an additional 2 days after the DWG, 3D Model or Advanced Drawing Package, depending on the size and complexity of the property and the current volume of iGUIDEs in the queue
- Exterior Elevation plans require additional advance capture scans — see the Advanced iGUIDE Capture Techniques article for full scan specifications
