Overview
iGUIDE Preview is an AI-powered early-access feature available with Standard and Premium iGUIDE orders that delivers a preliminary virtual tour and interactive floor plan within minutes of uploading scan data. Powered by computer vision and deep learning models, it allows operators to share an early version of a property tour with clients or use it for internal workflows while waiting for the fully drafted iGUIDE.
This preliminary version is replaced by the final, manually drafted iGUIDE once it has been completed and published by the Drafting Team, and is intended only as a temporary preview rather than a representation of the final product.
Note: iGUIDE Preview is generated by AI based on exported laser data and does not represent the quality of the finished iGUIDE.

Understanding iGUIDE Preview
iGUIDE Preview extends Standard and Premium iGUIDEs by providing early access to floor plan-based virtual tour navigation while professional drafting is still being completed. Customers can receive their virtual tour and interactive floor plan within minutes of completing a property scan, often before they have left the site.
You can use iGUIDE Preview to:
- Publish a tour directly for clients ahead of full drafting
- Power internal workflows and improve efficiency
- Wait for the full iGUIDE, typically delivered within 24 hours
This automated processing supports expedited property marketing in residential real estate and instant property damage assessment reports for the insurance and restoration markets.
Features and Limitations of iGUIDE Preview
Because the Preview has not been manually drafted, quality-checked, or verified for data alignment, certain features available in the Standard iGUIDE are not yet supported.
Important things to keep in mind:
- iGUIDE Preview is intended for preview and workflow enhancement only
- Avoid using the Preview to collect measurement data through measurement modes
- Avoid placing tags during the Preview stage, as data is subject to change during drafting
Using the iGUIDE Preview Feature
iGUIDE Preview is available to all Operators on iGUIDEs of 75 scans or less submitted to the iGUIDE Portal. Projects with more than 75 scans can still be created and uploaded but will not be eligible for the Preview.
To activate and publish iGUIDE Preview:
- When creating an iGUIDE on the iGUIDE Portal, go to step 6 - Upload Data
- Under the iGUIDE Preview header, select "Send email notification when ready" to notify eligible recipients (Stitch Data Uploader, Manager, or Primary Contact, if assigned)
- Once the completion email arrives, follow the link to the iGUIDE Preview page, also accessible under Operator Actions
- Choose either Publish Preview or Upload New Stitch Data
Publish Preview options:
- Publishing makes the Preview immediately visible via the public iGUIDE URL
- You can also send the limited iGUIDE Report once the Preview is published
Upload New Stitch Data options:
- Use this option if you spot missed areas or misaligned data in the Preview
- Uploading new Stitch data replaces the current Preview with the updated version
- Notifications are sent each time new data is uploaded if email alerts are enabled
Note: Once the drafting team claims the file and begins work, Stitch Data can no longer be replaced. After the final iGUIDE is published, the Preview page is no longer accessible, and the Preview tour is replaced at the iGUIDE URL with the full version, including the complete iGUIDE Report.
Considerations and tips
Because the Preview has not been through drafting, the floor plan visuals may not match the final result. Common quirks include floor-to-floor orientation differences, excess wall data, and staircase generation issues. There is no cause for concern, as the Preview is not the final product.
iGUIDE Preview is currently optimized for:
- Well-aligned data
- Real estate transactions
- North American properties
To improve Preview accuracy, follow these recommendations before submitting your project data:
- Ensure precise laser data alignment within Survey or Stitch so the system can accurately represent the property
- Separate floors correctly and avoid placing multiple buildings on a single floor (site plans are not supported)
- Rotate your data to portrait orientation where possible and align all floors to each other
- In Survey, orient the first scan on each floor using the "Align" tool so subsequent scans snap to the same orientation
- In Stitch, press "F" to rotate all scans, then use the "Square up" tool, repeating for each floor
