Capturing a Project with Scans

Beginning to scan

iGUIDE PLANIX R1 scan setup on tripod

• Place your PLANIX R1 in a suitable location and move yourself out of view.

Survey capture a scan button

• Tap the scan button on your smart device and wait for the chime.

Move and repeat

Capture locations best practice

• Move the PLANIX R1 to the next suitable location and create another scan. Repeat this process until you've captured the entire floor.

Finding the Floor menu in Survey

• Create new floors as needed by selecting the hamburger menu in the top left of the app screen and selecting "Floor."

Naming the next floor

Creating a new Floor in Survey

Name your next floor by selecting a pre-defined option or typing one of your preference. Select "Create."

*NOTE* From this screen, your will now see and have access to your previously created floors.

Vertical and exterior scans (optional)

Vertical scanning PLANIX R1 orientation

Depending on the desired output, like 3D models or exterior elevations, you may be required to capture vertical scans.
