Drafting FAQ

Drafting Frequently Asked Question

Asked Question

  1. Why isn’t my patio drafted? It may be that your patio did not have enough scan coverage . If you believe there is enough data, please process an error report: Reporting an error

  2. Why are some rooms in the floor plan represented in white? Colour is used to indicate all included areas. Excluded and non-reported areas are shown in white. The walls are always shown in black.

  3. Does iGUIDE accommodate variations in wall thicknesses? Perimeter Wall Thickness is an independent measurement taken from the property, typically, at the main entrance. Considerations are not made for varying wall thickness around the perimeter.

  4. Why were finished rooms marked as excluded? All rooms must have a minimum floor-to-ceiling height of 7ft/2.1m. Rooms are excluded due to restricted height. Rooms with sloped ceilings are measured at a height of 5ft/1.5m only if the ceiling height exceeds 7ft/2.1m in at least one location.

  5. Why are some of the room dimensions not displayed on the floor plan? Dimensions of the major rooms will be shown on the floor plan, but dimensions for minor rooms will be hidden. Minor rooms include foyers, closets, hallways, etc. Space limitations on the floor plan prevent this information from being easily read, but it can be activated on the Portal.
