The latest iGUIDE camera system, PLANIX R1, was released last month on November 13th! The iGUIDE PLANIX R1 features:

Stitch v6.13.11 - required for PLANIX R1

The latest version of Stitch, released on November 14th, is necessary to load new projects captured with the new PLANIX R1 system. This update also benefits PLANIX Pro operators and includes the frequently requested feature improvements below.

• Improved image post-processing & color correction for PLANIX Pro projects.

iGUIDE Viewer performance updates (Oct. 8th)

Back in October, we launched behind-the-scenes changes to boost the performance of the iGUIDE Viewer. These improvements result in faster load times when navigating through the iGUIDE, and lay the foundation for future feature and performance improvements.

Certain industries no longer indexed by search engines

Starting September 3rd, all newly created iGUIDEs in ‘Insurance & Restoration’, ‘Architecture & Remodel’, and ‘Facility Management’ will no longer be Protected by default, will not be indexed by public search engines and will no longer appear on the iGUIDE Map. Additionally, the Default View URL will no longer include the property address or title by default, further reducing the likelihood of the iGUIDE being discovered online. See the differences listed here for your future reference.

You can still apply or modify the protection settings via the Edit View page or your account’s Default Settings page. This update is designed to enhance the security of iGUIDEs containing sensitive information outside the Real Estate Transaction industry while maintaining ease of sharing iGUIDE links.

For 2D and 3D CAD Packages, the "Click Me" link and QR Code included in the PDF deliverable will remain accessible unless the iGUIDE is Protected. If the Default View is not Protected, anyone with access to the PDF can view the iGUIDE.

New package upgrades available for DWG, RVT, 2D CAD, 3D CAD

Starting September 3rd, existing iGUIDEs with a DWG or RVT Add-on will be able to upgrade to a 2D or 3D CAD Package. The price calculation will ensure that only the full price of the CAD Package is to be paid. Meaning that if the 3D CAD upgrade is requested for an iGUIDE with an RVT Add-on, then the price of the 3D CAD will deduct the price of the already complete RVT Add-on from the calculation. An iGUIDE with a completed DWG can be upgraded to either the 2D CAD or the 3D CAD Package. An iGUIDE with a completed RVT can only be upgraded to the 3D CAD Package. This upgrade request can be completed via the “Request an Update” page, as well as the “Package & Add-ons" page. For instances where the DWG or the RVT have the Reflected Ceiling Plan Additional Add-on selected, this will carry over to the CAD package at no extra cost.

iGUIDEs with a completed 2D CAD Package can be upgraded to a 3D CAD Package. Like the other upgrades, the price of the first add-on will be deducted from the second add-on that it is being upgraded to. This upgrade request can be completed via the “Request an Update” page, as well as the “Package and Add-ons" page.

Request an Update for 2D or 3D CAD Add-ons

Starting September 3rd, update requests and error reports for 2D and 3D CAD Packages can be submitted via the “Request an Update” page. This will allow your change request orders to be submitted directly to the Advanced Drafting Services team, and you will be automatically notified immediately after your requests have been completed.

Extending Product Support (8am-6:30pm ET)

Starting September 3rd, the iGUIDE Product Support Team will be extending available hours for all users. Support tickets and calls will be answered between the hours of 8:00 am – 6:30 pm Eastern Time, Monday – Saturday. This is an increase of two hours to better serve all users, particularly users in other time zones.

Automatic Blurring & Blurring Tool (Official Launch)

Last month we introduced a new image blurring tool for all new iGUIDEs on the iGUIDE Portal. After the success of this beta last month, we're excited to officially launch this new feature! This tool automatically blurs images, enhancing the privacy and professionalism of your content. Additionally, the manual blurring tool is available for all iGUIDEs, regardless of their creation date, allowing for greater flexibility and control over your image editing process.

Revit RVT & 3D CAD available in Metric

Starting September 10th, Revit RVT Add-ons and 3D CAD Packages will support both Metric and Imperial units. When requesting these products, you will need to choose between Metric or Imperial. This selection will adjust the structure, objects, and dimensions accordingly, and will be reflected in the DWG and PDF files included.

Single ZIP file download for DWG and RVT

Starting September 10th, to align the similar Advanced Drafting Service-related products, the Download page for DWG and RVT Add-ons will feature a single ZIP folder with all files attributed to those products. The DWG folder will include all the DWG files, as well as any DXFs. The RVT ZIP folder will contain the RVT file, the DWG, and the DXF files. This change will ensure that all files are conveniently located in the same place and can be downloaded all at once. The “Metric DXF” button will be removed as the file is available in the ZIP file.

Italian now available in iGUIDE Viewer

We are excited to announce the support of Italian as a new language option in the iGUIDE Viewer. All areas of the 3D Tour have been translated including room labels, floor labels, the Details tab, menu and tooltip text!

Flexmls integration

As of August 15th, all users now have access to iGUIDE integration with Flexmls. With just one click, you can upload your virtual tour to your Flexmls listing and have the room dimensions, room names, and room level auto-populated using the data extracted from the virtual tour while adding or editing a listing.

Automatic Blurring & Blurring Tool [BETA]

On Wednesday, July 17th, we will be introducing a new automatic image blurring tool for all new iGUIDEs in the iGUIDE Portal. This tool will automatically blur images, enhancing the privacy and professionalism of your content. Additionally, the manual blurring tool will be made available for all iGUIDEs, no matter their creation date, allowing for greater flexibility and control over your image editing process.

Automatic Blurring:

• This option is selected during the upload process on the Create iGUIDE Page and is only applicable for new iGUIDEs.

• Blurring is processed automatically after the iGUIDE is published by our drafters.

• Automatically blurs any recognized human faces.

Manual Blurring:

• Done manually after the iGUIDE is published by visiting your iGUIDE’s blurring tool section. (Available for all iGUIDEs)

• You can manually add up to 100 blurs to each Pano.

Any iGUIDE created before July 17th will not be able to use automatic blurring, as this process happens during iGUIDE publication, however, any iGUIDE created prior to July 17th will have access to the manual blurring tool.

Simplified Chinese Now Available in the iGUIDE Viewer

We are excited to announce the support of Simplified Chinese as a selectable language in the iGUIDE Viewer. All areas of the 3D tour have been translated including Floor Plan labels, the Floor Selector, Details Tab, Menu and Tooltip text!

End of IMS-5 Repair Services, September 1st, 2024

IMS-5 camera systems have not been available for sale since March 1st, 2021. In May of 2023, notification was sent to all IMS-5 users warning that low quantities of IMS-5 parts were remaining. The remaining stock of parts is almost all used up now.After September 1st, 2024, or when the stock is completely used up, whichever comes first, iGUIDE IMS-5 camera systems will no longer be serviceable by Planitar repair technicians.

We are not discontinuing technical support or data processing services for IMS-5 camera systems at this time, but please note that repair services for damaged or malfunctioning IMS-5 camera systems can only be supported in cases where parts are available, and only before September 1st, 2024.

Supported Product Upgrades & Billing

Some iGUIDE products can be upgraded from what was originally ordered to a different package or add-on. These upgrades will be billed the price of the newly chosen package and add-ons minus the price of the original package and add-ons. Here is a list of currently supported upgrades that have this ability.

The following upgrades can be requested through the Portal but will be charged at full price. Full price refers to the entire processing cost as though a completely new iGUIDE were processed.

Advanced Capture Requirements for 2D CAD & 3D CAD Packages

The new 2D CAD and 3D CAD packages are more detailed than any iGUIDE package that has come before them, which means more data is required to draw these packages. Reference the capture guide to learn about the shoot protocol and what data is required.

Automatic Blurring & Blurring Tool

Occasionally, details found in iGUIDE 360-degree images need to be hidden for privacy and security reasons. To make the process of hiding these details easier there will be a new Blurring Tool added to the iGUIDE Portal. By the end of June, you’ll be able to select the option to automatically blur faces and gain access to the Blurring Tool on the iGUIDE Portal. Automatic blurring will detect faces and automatically blur them. The manual Blurring Tool will allow you to select multiple areas of an image to blur and is good for blurring sensitive data such as people’s faces, family photos, computer screens, license plates, etc.

Portal Calculator

Starting on June 4th, there will be a new Calculator button under the Dashboard menu item on the iGUIDE Portal. This calculator can be used to estimate processing fees for all iGUIDE products, and it will closely resemble the new Create iGUIDE page.

Create iGUIDE Page Update

The Create Page will receive a few changes to the ordering process as outlined in Service & Technical Update 045 – May, 2024. This includes the addition of new industry selections that better classify the type of property the iGUIDE will be. This selection will provide an optimized list of preset packages to make the creation process more efficient. In each of the package selection lists, a ‘Manually configure’ (see image below) option will allow users to choose their own contents by selecting the base package and desired add-ons. Changes to the Create Page will be released on Tuesday, June 4th.

New selections include the 2D CAD Package and the 3D CAD Package. Reflected Ceiling Plans are now available as an additional add-on for AutoCAD DWG, Revit RVT, 2D CAD, and 3D CAD. These options expand the range of solutions for Architecture and Remodel focused companies, providing advanced information, additional views, PDF plans, and the DXF file.

iGUIDE PLANIX Mobile App Create iGUIDE Page Update

The iGUIDE PLANIX Mobile App Create Page will be updated to match the web version on June 7th.

Disable Property Address

An iGUIDE can now be created without including a property address. Selecting Disable Property Address will eliminate the need to complete required address fields and map tools for the iGUIDE. Properties with no address must be uniquely identified with a number or name chosen by the user. This iGUIDE will not be indexable (found on public search platforms). A Property Reference is required to give the property an identifiable name for the customer and support teams' convenience. All map features will be disabled for the iGUIDE any address functionality will not be able to be added once the iGUIDE is created.

Updated Create iGUIDE Page

Several big changes are coming to the Create iGUIDE page on the iGUIDE Portal (manage.youriguide.com) that will be combined into one release on June 4th, 2024.

1. Names of the available industries are changing to make selection easier. The actual changes will be as follows:

1. The industry selector will now also affect the available options in the “Choose your Package” dropdown menu. When an Industry is chosen only the most common Packages will be shown to make Package selection faster and easier. Each industry selection has its own unique set of Packages.

2. An important new feature is the “Manually configure” option that will always appear at the bottom of the Choose your Package dropdown menu. “Manually Configure” will allow for more control over what is selected. Some options found in this section will only be available here. The options in this section will always be the same regardless of the industry chosen.

1. “Disable Property Address”: This is a much-requested feature that will allow you to create an iGUIDE with no address selected. A unique name or number can be added instead to help identify the iGUIDE. Properties with a disabled address will not be indexed by Google or other search engines.

New Advanced Drawing Packages & Add-ons

New and different options will now be available under several Industry selections on June 4th, 2024. These new options are intended as more complete solutions for documenting a property where the goal is to modify that property rather than market it. A more detailed description of what these packages contain can also be found in the Support Area of the iGUIDE Portal.

iGUIDE 2D CAD Package

iGUIDE'S 2D CAD package is a robust set of drawings and digital property information that are based on accurate laser measurements and created by skilled drafting professionals. This package is intended to accelerate the design/build process by helping property owners give Architects, Designers, and Contractors the drawings they need to proceed quickly with their work. Available in either metric or imperial units.

Includes:

• iGUIDE Premium 3D Tour

• PDF Drawings

  • Annotated Floor plans

  • Source data (point cloud)

  • Dimension drawings

• 2D DWG files for AutoCAD of all the above PDF drawings (excluding source data)

• Metric DXF

Price: $0.10/ft² USD, $0.14/ft² CAD

Delivery time: 1-7 business days for properties under 10,000ft². Please contact support for properties over 10,000 ft². Delivery times will vary due to property size and complexity.

iGUIDE 3D CAD Package

iGUIDE's 3D CAD Package is a robust set of drawings and digital property information that are based on accurate laser measurements and created by skilled drafting professionals. This Package is intended to accelerate the design/build process by helping property owners give Architects, Designers, and Contractors the 2D drawings and 3D model they need to move quickly with their work. Available in imperial units only.

Includes:

• IGUIDE Premium 3D Tour

• PDF Drawings:

  • Annotated floor plans

  • Source data (point cloud)

  • Dimension drawings

  • Exterior elevation drawings

  • Roof plan

• 2D DWG files for AutoCAD of all the above PDF drawings (excluding source data)

Price: $0.21/ft² USD, $0.29/ft² CAD

Reflected Ceiling Plans

Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs) are architectural drawings that show the ceiling layout of a space. Unlike typical floor plans which depict walls, doors, and windows, RCPs focus solely on the ceiling elements and are mirrored to match the floor plan. This is an additional add-on available with 2D CAD Packages, 3D CAD Packages, DWG, and RVT.

Price: $0.03/ft² USD, $0.04/ft² CAD

Delivery time: Identical to package delivery time.

iGUIDE Standard Sketch

This is identical to iGUIDE Standard + ESX Add-on. To make your order easier, the Package has been combined with the Add-on under one name. There will be no change in price or deliverables.

iGUIDE Premium Sketch

This is identical to iGUIDE Premium + ESX Add-on. To make your order easier, the Package has been combined with the Add-on under one name. There will be no change in price or deliverables.

CAD Packages & Add-ons available globally

Starting June 4th all CAD Packages and Add-ons will be available worldwide and will no longer be restricted to North America. The CAD files produced are still primarily intended for North America and may not meet the needs of other parts of the world. Please download a sample and determine if the output meets your needs before ordering.

DXF now only included with CAD Packages or Add-ons

Starting June 4th, 2024 DXF file output will be restricted to the following Packages and Add-ons:

• Radix

• 2D CAD

• 3D CAD

• DWG Add-on

• RVT Add-on

The DXF file, which was previously available with every iGUIDE Standard or Premium, will no longer be available unless one of the above Packages or Add-ons is ordered. This change is occurring to offset the rising cost of DXF production resulting from improvements made to the final output.

Consolidated delivery via a single ZIP file

Files associated with CAD Packages and Add-ons will now be bundled together into a single ZIP file for delivery.

Example 1: If an iGUIDE Standard is ordered with a DWG Add-on the downloadable ZIP file will contain the DXF file and the DWG file.

Example 2: If a 3D CAD Package is ordered the downloadable ZIP file will contain the DXF file, DWG files, RVT file, and PDF files.

The goal of this consolidation is to make downloading all relevant files associated with a project more convenient.

iGUIDE Lead Magnet

iGUIDE Lead Magnet is a new feature that creates a 2nd, more detailed, View of a property which is available to a user upon request. A request to get access to the detailed View is made by submitting one’s contact information in the pop-up form that appears in the 3D tour. This tool is intended to improve engagement between those viewing the tour and the listing agent.

How does it work?

Once enabled, a pop-up form will appear in the iGUIDE after 3 clicks by the user or when 30 seconds have elapsed. When completed, the form data will be sent via email and (optionally) sent via text message to the listing agent on the iGUIDE banner. An automatic reply can be sent to the user with a link to the more detailed iGUIDE View. Alternatively, the listing agent can reach out directly to the user if automatic reply is not enabled.

How do I use it?

iGUIDE Lead Magnet can be enabled in the iGUIDE Portal for any new or existing iGUIDE. The checkbox to enable it can be found on the Default View settings page (click the blue Edit button on the My iGUIDEs page). Once enabled, it will have two additional pre-configure options that can be disabled. iGUIDE Lead Magnet can be turned off on unbranded tours only and the automatic email can be turned off to allow for the agent to connect manually.

What are some interesting ways to configure the detailed View?

1. Reveal more interior scans that provide more points of view and connect important spaces.

2. Reveal scans that are valuable to users but may not be suitable for marketing purposes. This could include spaces like garages, closets, utility rooms, and storage spaces.

3. Reveal exterior scans that surround the property.

iGUIDE Lead Magnet will be available to use for any iGUIDE Instant, Standard or Premium on April 30th. 

Invoices on iGUIDE Portal (coming soon)

Starting this May, all Operator accounts will be able to access a new Invoices section from the account dashboard page. On this page, your invoices will be listed for the current calendar year, each with options to view the invoice ‘Details’ and to ‘Pay’, depending on the status of the invoice. You also have the option to select a previous year to view past invoices, but please note that access to invoices from 2023 and earlier will be limited. Preview images below are subject to change

By clicking to view the details of an invoice for a particular month, the page then lists all your iGUIDE orders, including update requests and add-ons, which belong to the invoice.

For now, and depending on your location, clicking the pay button will either open your payment instructions or automatically open your invoice in Xero where you can download your invoice or make payment.

The ability to view and interact with your invoice details directly on the iGUIDE Portal marks just one step towards our goal of making payment easier and more accessible. Please stay tuned for more updates on this in the future!

Stitch v6.12.3 (download required)

A few weeks ago, on April 11th, the latest Stitch version update was released. Stitch v6.12.3 fixes an issue involving the connection to the application’s auto-update server. If Stitch did not notify you of the update automatically, and you did not update before April 13th, please download the latest version at goiguide.com/downloads.

Stairs now in Instant Sketch

Starting May 1st, any staircases scanned for an Instant Sketch will be formatted so that some properties, e.g., treads, landings, end height, etc., are included in the Sketch. Before now, stair details such as these have not been represented in the Instant Sketch package besides just a room label to note their location.

Some more details about this change:

• The lowest level will have a storage room created to capture any areas underneath the staircase.

• The highest floor will have an outline for the room of the staircase so the floor area can be removed from the Claim calculations.

Changes in floor elevation now in ESX

Starting tomorrow, April 23rd, floor elevations in the iGUIDE ESX add-on will be adjusted to reflect how a given building is actually constructed, and will no longer have any effect on ceiling heights. Before now, changes in floor elevation were represented in the Sketch by adjusting ceiling heights. These details will be most noticeable in properties that have a few steps between floor levels, such as sunken living rooms, attached garages, and some split-level floors. iGUIDE PLANIX Mobile App, and FW v1.9.0

January 2024 marks the launch of the brand new iGUIDE PLANIX app on Google Play and the App Store! The iGUIDE PLANIX app incorporates and streamlines key steps of the iGUIDE capture and submission process including: connecting to the system, updating firmware, loading Survey, exporting your project, and uploading to the iGUIDE Portal. To support the release of the mobile app, a new firmware is also available for download which includes the following changes:

The latest PLANIX firmware v1.9.0 was released today, January 31st, 2024. If Stitch does not notify you of the update automatically, it will be available to download at goiguide.com/downloads.

Processing Pricing Changes

To reiterate the emailed announcement sent on December 1st, 2023, please take note that the iGUIDE processing pricing changes detailed below went into effect on January 1st of this year. The updated pricing can be viewed now on goiguide.com/processing-pricing.

SLA Changes - 24 hr iGUIDE Turnaround

As of January 1st, 2024, the iGUIDE drafting team have started processing your iGUIDEs according to a 24-hour maximum delivery timeline. This means iGUIDEs that have all required data uploaded to the Portal will be processed within 24 hours. In recent years, the iGUIDE drafting team have been steadily reducing average delivery times to meet this target but were previously still observing a standard delivery time which stipulated that only iGUIDEs having all required data uploaded to the Portal before 7 am ET would be processed the same day. By making this change to our iGUIDE processing service level agreement, we are committing to deliver all iGUIDEs no later than 24 hours after submission. iGUIDE Instant (BETA)

Currently in BETA and available in the United States only, iGUIDE Instant is a new package option which, within minutes and at lower cost, offers an iGUIDE interactive floor plan and 3D virtual tour by utilizing iGUIDE’s proprietary AI technology. RECA RMS 2024

The Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) has made updates to their Residential Measurement Standard (RMS) which came into effect on January 1st of this year. The latest version, RECA RMS 2024, and all the details can be found on their website at www.reca.ca/licensees-learners/tools-resources/residential-measurement-standard/.

One notable change includes the addition of a new principle: “For semi-detached and townhouse properties, measure the property using the exterior wall at the foundation. If the thickness of the demising wall(s) cannot be determined the thickness of an exterior wall shall be used.”

Black & White Floor Plan Color Scheme

Released just a few months ago and now available for all iGUIDE floor plans, the black & white color scheme 

Stitch v6.12.2

The latest Stitch version introduces some helpful new features including reference lines to help with scan alignment, as well as an option to show a floor underlay which can help with understanding the relative orientation of scans on two different levels.

• Improve duplicate tag assets check and warning on export;

• Add a new mode to draw reference lines used for alignment;

• Add an option to show underlay floor (useful for vertical alignment between floors);

• Add an option to select and add multiple User Panos;
