Tags can now be placed in Survey (PLANIX only, PLANIX firmware v1.6.10) in real-time, and you can attach images to them which will be stored in your iGUIDE gallery afterward. Once your iGUIDE is published, any Real-Time Tags you created can be edited as iGUIDE Tags using the Tag Editor.
Real-Time Tags can also be added to an existing iGUIDE if you upload new Stitch data when Updating an iGUIDE!
Preparation for creating a Tag Ensure that you have first created a project, floor, and at least one scan if you do not already have any scans.
Click on the Tag icon You should now be able to see the Tag icon on the top-right side of the screen. Click on the Tag icon to begin the creation of your Tag. See Figure 1.
Edit your Tag
On this screen, you will be prompted to fill out the following:
Title: This will be what shows up first when you click the Tag, just like with the iGUIDE Tags on the Portal. If no title is selected the title of the Tag will be "New Tag".
Color: Choose a color for the Tag. This will be the color that the tag will appear as in the virtual tour.
Content: This is where you can put a description of the Tag and insert any images. You can also bold, header, and italicize your text.
At the top-right of the Content section, you can also tap to switch between Edit and Preview modes. See Figure 2.
When uploading images you have 3 ways to upload them:
You can take a new picture. Taking a picture will open up your device's camera, if there is one, and allow you to take a picture. Note: This picture will only be saved to the current Tag, it will not be saved on your device, and you are only able to upload one picture at a time like this.
You can upload pictures from your smart device's image gallery. This option will gather pictures from your gallery, and you can select which pictures you would like to upload to the Tag. Note: This will not erase pictures from your gallery.
You can upload a file. Note: This will not erase files from your device.
IMAGE CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
Images uploaded to a Tag must meet the following criteria:
Less than 20 MB
Less than 8000x8000 pixels
Only JPG, JPEG, or PNG file type
Once you are finished, click 'Next' to keep going. Clicking on the 'Cancel' button will cancel the creation of a Tag.
Place the Tag in the Image
You will now be prompted to place the Tag in the image. Do this by tapping on where you would like the Tag to be seen. Click 'Next' once you are satisfied with the location. Clicking 'Back' will return you to the previous page where you filled out the details of the tag. See Figure 3.
Place the Tag in the Laser Scan
Based on the location you selected in the image (step 4), the Tag will be placed on the scanned surface by default (typically a wall). On this screen, you have the ability to move the Tag closer or farther away from the scanned surface along the red line. If what you are tagging is not directly on the scanned surface, take your best guess at the appropriate location. Click 'Save' to finish placing the tag, or click 'Back' to return to the previous step. See Figure 4.
Review and Confirm
Confirm your Tag has been placed correctly and that it includes all the content you added in step 3 by tapping on it in the image. See Figure 5.
Note: Tags in Survey are only visible from one scan and, if you choose to disable/hide that scan, the Tag will also not be seen in your iGUIDE. You can change which scan(s) your Tag is viewed from using the Tag Editor.
There are two main ways to find an existing Tag: going to the scan where it was placed, and the Tag menu.
Finding the Tag in the image
Go to the scan where you placed your tag and tap on the Tag in the image. See Figure 6.
Edit or Delete
Choose what you would like to do to the Tag. See Figure 7.
Clicking on the 'Delete' button will delete the tag.
Clicking on the 'Edit Placement' button will allow you to change the placement of the Tag in the image and the laser scan.
Clicking on the 'Edit Content' button will allow you to change the Tag's title, color, and content.
