How to Download and Use an Offline iGUIDE
What is an Offline iGUIDE?
The Offline iGUIDE functions like a time capsule, preserving the exact state of the 3D tour at the moment of download. Any permissions, views, or elements you've hidden will remain hidden in the Offline iGUIDE according to the settings you configured. If you make any changes—such as adding or removing tags, panoramas, or modifying view permissions—these changes will not be reflected in the previously downloaded version. The recipient would need to re-download the iGUIDE if they require access to the updated content.
The Offline iGUIDE mirrors the online experience, with all features, including measurements, VR capabilities, and other interactive elements, functioning as they do in the live version. However, it's important to note that any updates made to the online version will only be visible if the iGUIDE is re-downloaded after those changes.
How do I use an Offline iGUIDE?
iGUIDEs can be viewed offline in a web browser via a downloaded and unzipped copy of the iGUIDE. Download the offline iGUIDE from the link in the iGUIDE Report, unzip the file and navigate your browser to the index.html file within the folder.
While this is a straightforward process on a computer, it may prove more challenging on mobile devices due to the limited ability to manipulate local files.
The most convenient method for tablet presentation is to preload the offline iGUIDE when you have WiFI access.
