While your iGUIDE is the best way for people to see all the things inside a property, it’s iGUIDE Tags that you should use to tell people all about the things they see. Tags are interactive, visual markers that you can use to draw a viewer’s attention to something in your iGUIDE. Tags are saved per iGUIDE View, just like room labels and panoramas, so that your Tags in one View can be different from the Tags in another View, meaning that you can customize your Tags to suit specific audiences. Read on to learn how to create and configure your Tags using the Tag Editor.

Real Time Tags Intro Video

Finding Tag Editor

The Tag Editor is a page which can be found in each of your iGUIDEs on the iGUIDE Portal (manage.youriguide.com) and is only visible to iGUIDE Editors and Managers.

  1. Sign in to the iGUIDE Portal.

  2. Go to My iGUIDEs.

  3. Choose an iGUIDE View you want to edit (if you haven’t created any new Views, only the Default View will appear) by clicking the blue Tag Editor button (see figure 1).

If you're already editing your iGUIDE, you can also select Tag Editor from the left-side menu (see figure 2).

Want to use the Tag Editor with a different View?

  1. In the left-side menu, select iGUIDE User Views (see figure 3)

  2. Refer back to steps 3, above (the page will not be the same as shown in figure 1).

Tag Editor Layout

See the descriptions of each area below and figure 4 for reference.

  1. The iGUIDE Viewer is on the main/right portion of the page.

  2. The Tag List appears on the left portion of the page. The list will populate with Tags as you create them. Floors in the list can be expanded or minimized in order to see all Tags existing on other floors. The Show Tag List button appears beside the bottom-right corner of the floor plan window, beside the floor selector and Create a Tag button.

  3. The Create a Tag button appears beside the bottom-right corner of the floor plan window, beside the floor selector and Show Tag List button

  4. A search bar is at the top of the Tag list. Use this to search for a specific Tag in the list.

  5. The blue Save button is at the bottom-left, under the Tag list. Use this to Save any new Tags you create and/or any changes to existing Tags.

  6. The white Reset to Last Save button is at the bottom-left, under the Tag list and besides the blue Save button. Use this to discard any changes made during your current session.

Placing a New Tag, and Repositioning

To place a tag, first, find a point of interest in the property and then click the Create a Tag button. Next, follow the instructions below and see figure 5 for reference.

  1. Select a Tag placement mode. See the list below for a brief explanation of each mode.

    • Tag placement mode 1: Uses the drafted interior walls, half-height walls, and perimeter walls for Tag placement. Railings are ignored. Use this mode for anything on a wall.

    • Tag placement mode 2: Requires you to draw a line on the floor plan that represents the surface you want to Tag. Use this mode for fireplaces, premium kitchen or bathroom features, or anything else not quite on a wall.

    • Tag placement mode 3: Requires you to select the same thing from 2 different points of view. In order to work properly, the points of view you choose must be at the same height. Use this mode for things that aren’t near any wall, such as on a table, floor, or ceiling.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to place a Tag.

  3. Remember to press the blue Save button after placing one or more Tags.

  4. Reposition a Tag if you made a mistake, and then Save again.

Want to cancel tag placement? You’ll see an X button to the right of the Tag placement mode options. Press the X button to cancel Tag placement.

Editing a Tag

To edit a Tag, press the pencil icon beside the Tag title in the Tag list (see figure 6). See below for a short explanation of each section and see figures 7 and 8 for reference. If you’re happy with your Tag, press the blue Apply button in the bottom-right. If not, press the white Cancel button, right beside the Apply button. As always, don’t forget to save!

See below for a short explanation of each section and see Figures 5 and 6 for reference. If you’re happy with your Tag, press the blue Apply button in the bottom right. If not, press the white Cancel button, right beside the Apply button. As always, don’t forget to save!

  1. Title: Consider using a name that will allow you to easily identify the Tag in the list (see figure 7).

  2. Content: On this tab, everything that you enter will appear in the Tag. See a short explanation of each option below and figure 7 for reference. A) Bold, Italic, Heading: These are just some basic text formatting options.

    B) Unordered List, Ordered List, Quote: Use these to create a list or quote.

    C) URL/Link: Use this to include a link to an external web page.

    D) Image: Use this to include an image from your iGUIDE Gallery, or insert a link to an image hosted elsewhere online.

    E) Video: Use this to include a video by copying and pasting the video URL.

    F) Pano Link: Use this to bring users to another pano in your iGUIDE by copying and pasting an iGUIDE Link which had the “Use current 3D view” option enabled. Find and acquire this by pressing the Share button in your iGUIDE.

  3. Options: On this tab, you can embed a webpage and customize the style of your Tag. See a short explanation of each option below and see figure 8 for reference.

    A) Embed URL: If you want to show an external webpage in the tag, paste the URL here. If you choose to do this, anything that you entered in the Contents section will not be shown.

    B) Tag Hotspot: Choose which Tag style you prefer. Also shows a preview of Stem Height.

    C) Tag Color: Choose a preset colour or a custom one.

    D) Tag Opacity: Drag the slider to set the opacity of the Tag. ‘0’ is invisible, and ‘100’ can’t be seen through.

    E) Stem Height: Drag the slider or enter a number to change the Tag stem height. You will see a preview of the stem height in the Tag Hotspot section.

  4. Quick Preview: On this tab, you can see any changes you’ve made before you decide to apply them. Go back to the Content and Options tabs to continue making changes. See figure 8 for reference.

Hiding and Removing Tags

In cases where you have multiple iGUIDE Views and you only want specific Tags to appear per each View, you have the option to hide Tags per View. And, of course, you can also remove any Tag you create. See figure 9.

Click the eye icon to hide a Tag, or click the bin icon to remove a Tag.

Hidden Tags appear in red text with a red crossed-out-eye icon, and the Tag icon will be invisible on the floor plan. Removing a Tag will remove it from all Views. As always, don’t forget to save!

Sharing Your Tag List in the 360 Tour

Now that you’ve tagged your property, it's time to share your tag list with your team. Sharing your tag list will allow them to see everything you’ve documented in context of the fully captured property.

To share the 360 tour with the tag list:

1. Open your 360 tour (must be a Radix, Standard or Premium iGUIDE)

3. In the pop-up, check the box beside “Show Tag List”

4. Hit the Copy button

5. Paste this URL in an email, message or document where you want your team to access the tag list

Additional Notes

Tag Limits:

  • Tag max-content size: 10,000 characters

  • Tag max title: 1000 characters

  • Multiple hyperlinks can be included (the only limit is the content size)

  • An iframe can be embedded in the tag content

  • Images can be included from the iGUIDE gallery (hosted by us) or from an external host

Supported video services:

  • YouTube

  • Vimeo

  • iPlayerHD

Supported file hosts:

  • Google Drive

  • OneDrive

  • Dropbox

To embed a video from a supported file host, the video file must be of mp4, webm or ogv format.

For OneDrive, you must input the source URL from the embed code, NOT the share link.

Directly linking to a hosted video file is also supported. The file extension (mp4, webm or ogv) must be included in the URL.

  • Tag stem max length is 8 feet (96 inches or ~244 cm)

  • Tags may not be placed as expected in other panos if the camera was not calibrated before surveying.

  • Clicking a Tag from the Tag list or floor plan will take the stem into account. For example, if a Tag is placed on the ceiling and a stem is ~4ft to bring the Tag into view, clicking the Tag location button in the Tag list will adjust the user’s point of view to look at the Tag hotspot at the end of the stem, not where the Tag was originally placed on the ceiling (the base of the stem).

  • Tags are not currently supported when viewing in VR mode.
