Step 1: Capture 360 photos of the property using an iGUIDE camera system.

Step 2: Create your iGUIDE in the iGUIDE Portal.
Log into the iGUIDE portal.
Select the "Create iGUIDE" tab at the top of the page.
Select Insurance & Restoration as the Property Industry.
Choose your iGUIDE Package:
iGUIDE Instant Sketch – an AI-drafted sketch, ready in minutes
iGUIDE Standard Sketch – an expert drafted sketch, ready in hours
iGUIDE Premium Sketch – an expert drafted sketch, ready in hours including fixtures like cabinets and countertops

Q: Can I create an Instant Sketch from an iGUIDE Standard or Premium?
A: No, Instant Sketch is a standalone package and is not compatible with any other iGUIDE packages. However, an Xactimate ESX file can be requested from other packages.
Q: Can I upgrade my Instant Sketch to something with more detail?
A: Yes, you can request an upgrade at any time to a Standard or Premium iGUIDE with an ESX Add-on; go to your iGUIDE's Package & Add-ons page to request an upgrade. Standard and Premium ESX files have more detail than Instant Sketch.
Q: How long does it take to get my Instant Sketch imported into Xactimate?
A: It should occur within minutes, although property size may impact the processing time.
Q: Can Instant Sketch be used for any type of property?
A: There is a size limit of 5,000 ft² and a scan limit of 75 scans.
Q: My token didn’t work. What do I do now?
A: Follow the instructions found in the Verisk Xactimate error message.
Q: Is the square footage of my Instant Sketch accurate?
A: Area calculations are approximate.
Q: Can I realign, add or remove data and reprocess my Instant Sketch?
A: Yes, you can re-upload data to an existing Instant Sketch and it will be reprocessed. This is useful for instances where you may not have captured enough data and wish to go back and add more. You may also wish to align data differently to improve your results.
Q: Parts of my Instant Sketch look strange, can I send it back to you to change it?
A: Please reach out to Verisk Xactimate Support, they will guide you through making any adjustments needed to your Sketch. iGUIDE Instant Sketch is generated by AI, so there may be some areas that need adjustment while the AI learns and improves over time.
Q: What are ESX files used for?
A: As a Xactimate Insurance Claims Estimate file type, the .esx file extension is used to save files created by Xactimate software. Insurance claims, estimates, policies, and other information regarding insurance are all saved using the .esx file extension.

Q: Can I Update my previously created iGUIDES to an ESX file?
A: All previously created iGUIDEs can have the Xactimate ESX add-on. There is a key difference between Premium and Standard iGUIDEs when creating the ESX file.
Q: What are the differences between the Xactimate ESX you get from a Standard iGUIDE vs. a Premium iGUIDE?
A: For Premium iGUIDEs only, the cabinets will be represented in the Xactimate ESX sketch file, and not for the Standard iGUIDE packages.
Q: How long will it take to get my ESX file delivered?
A: Simply request the ESX file during the creation process of a Standard or Premium iGUIDE or once the iGUIDE has been published and your file will be delivered within 24 hours. Excluding Sundays, holidays, and outside office hours (Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm ET).
Q: How does the pricing work?
A: Xactimate ESX files are billed at $0.02/ft² USD. This is on top of the processing fee for a Standard or Premium iGUIDE which is between $0.02/ft² and $0.03/ft² USD respectively. This brings the total cost of Xactimate ESX files to between 0.04/ft² and 0.05/ft² for properties up to 10,000ft².
Q: Do iGUIDE ESX files deduct for openings?
A:Yes, iGUIDE ESX files deduct for openings within the ESX file.
Q: Does iGUIDE complete the estimates as well?
A: iGUIDE focuses on creating the most accurate sketches on the market to be able to drop into Xactimate however we don’t complete the estimates.
