In this video we are showing you how to use Stitch and create an iGUIDE on the Portal.

Step 7 – Using Stitch & Creating an iGUIDE

In this video we are showing you how to use Stitch and create an iGUIDE on the Portal.

Stitch:

  1. Copy your data from the USB drive onto your desktop or similar area (in the video we outline how to do this on a windows device)

  2. Open up Stitch. You can find the download at goiguide.com/downloads

  3. Click on the house icon and browse to the location where you copied your data

  4. Click on the folder and then click select. This will open up your project and you will see your laser data along with the 360 images you captured onsite.

  5. Down the left-hand side, you will see your scans in a list format. Click to select a scan to view it individually. On the top of your screen, you will see the panoramic image associated with each set of laser data you captured. On the bottom of your screen, you will see the laser data you captured with each scan.

  6. Snap your data by pressing the magnet icons while you are viewing individual panos to ensure the data is aligned.

  7. The triangle icon can be used to square off the data and make sure it’s straight

  8. The bucket icon can be used to show you if there is any data missing (missing data shows up as black as opposed to in colour).

  9. Leave comments

  10. Click on the floor in the options on the left hand side to open a dialogue box where you can select: above/below grade; enter exterior wall thickness; add ceiling height

  11. Click on the wizard hat to edit your panoramas. A new window will open up with different options you can adjust to your liking based on colour, white balance, and alignment. When you are happy with the changes you can click on next pano or done to finish.

  12. Click on the blue circle icon (with a quarter of the circle showing dark blue) to select initial pano angle. A white box will appear in the pano image section. Move it around until you are satisfied with the initial pano image and left click. The box will become blue and static to indicate where you have made your selection. You can complete an initial pano angle for all of your panos.

  13. To set an initial pano – the one that will show up when the iGUIDE is first opened – select the pano from the list on the left hand side, right click to open the options and click to select “set as initial pano”. An orange dot will appear to indicate your selection.

  14. To hide a pano, select from the list on the left hand side and right click to open the options. Click “hide in iGUIDE”. The pano will now show up in red text to indicate your selection. To undo, right click it again and click “show in iGUIDE” to undo.

  15. The camera icon allows you to view the panorama in full. It will open up a new window inside stitch where you can view the full 360 degree image.

  16. The settings icon (wrench) allows you to select between metric and imperial as well as change the sharpness of your exported panos.

  17. The help icon (question mark) which opens up a dialogue box that includes information on workflow as well as general information and tips for using stitch.

  18. The save icon (floppy disk) should be used to save any changes you make before you export.

  19. The final step is exporting your processed stitch data. If you have missed anything, an error message will appear during this time before the process is complete.

Uploading your iGUIDE data to the iGUIDE Portal:

  1. Open up a web browser and go to manage.youriguide.com and sign into your account. If this is your first time, you will have received an email from the iGUIDE Portal prompting you to set up your account using the email address you entered when you completed the online purchase of the camera.

  2. At the top of the page there is a tab “Create iGUIDE”. Click on this to get started.

  3. Choose your iGUIDE package, standard or premium (photos only iGUIDEs do not have any laser data associated with them).

  4. Next you will enter a property address. Confirm the location on the map is correct and click “select” to save and move on.

  5. Add agent branding allows you to select from previously created banners or you can create a new one during this process.

  6. The “People” section (#4) is where you can add iGUIDE Report Subscribers, Editors, Primary Contact and iGUIDE Analytics Subscribers.

  7. The last section is where you will upload your data. You can upload your .tar file and your still images for the iGUIDE gallery here. To upload stitch data, click on the box, browse to find the location of your project, browse to the folder called _Export, click on the TAR file and click on open.

  8. Underneath the stitch and gallery file upload section there is a place where you can click to select advanced options.

  9. Once you are finished, at the bottom of the page you will click on the blue button “create iGUIDE and Upload” and then you will see a progress bar. When it has reached 100% your iGUIDE URL is created and your data has been uploaded successfully.
