This video gives you a brief overview of the steps required to create an iGUIDE with your new PLANIX system, up until the point where you need to enter your data into Stitch.
Remove the PLANIX system from the case
Align the tripod head to make sure the camera system is level
Mount the system on the tripod, confirming it is secure
Remove the Ricoh THETA lens cap
Power on your system
Connect to survey (see video for full details)
Create a project and a floor
Start taking scans – either in one-shot or two-shot mode
Once you hear the Ricoh Theta bleep you can pick up your tripod and move to your next camera position.
When the scan has completed processing, click the shutter icon again to take another scan
When you have captured more than one scan, you can check to make sure your data is aligning correctly and manually intervene only when required
Continue taking scans until you have captured data for the entire space
We recommend one scan every 5 metres – for visual and laser measurement data purposes
Check your coverage to ensure you have not missed any spaces before you leave the property
Place your PLANIX system back in the case, with the iGUIDE logo facing up (this makes it easier to remove the USB later as well).
