R1 Camera settings tutorial

To access the R1 camera settings:

Click on the Menu button located in the top-left corner of the Survey screen (A).
Select Settings from the menu options (B).

The Settings page contains several options, detailed below:

Coverage Opacity:
- Coverage allows users to assess how well a space has been documented by using shading to indicate the number of completed scans, ensuring area coverage leads to an improved tour.
Show Live Lidar Data:
- This option lets you view the lidar data before capturing the Pano.
Quiet Mode:
- Enabling this mode will prevent the R1 camera from making beep sounds when a scan is captured.
Units:
- You can select your preferred unit of measurement, either inches or centimeters. This is typically used for entering the exterior or perimeter wall thickness.
Wi-Fi Band:
- Choose between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz for Wi-Fi connectivity. While 5 GHz is generally recommended for better performance, 2.4 GHz may work better where distance is required.
Region:
- Adjust your region settings as necessary.
Access Point Name
- You can change the name of your R1 device.

Wi-Fi Password:
- You can update your R1 device’s password for enhanced security.
Power Off Timeout:
- Configure the power timeout settings to extend battery life when no connection is established.
Power Saving Mode:
- Activate this mode to conserve battery when the camera is inactive.
Auto Align
- This option should always be enabled. We also recommend enabling Alignment Alerts, which will notify you of any alignment issues, allowing for efficient project shooting without manual adjustments.
Reset to Factory Settings:
- This option restores your R1 camera to its original factory settings. This can be helpful if you experience persistent issues or want to start fresh with your configurations. Please note that resetting to factory settings will erase all custom settings.
